Can anyone explain this?
Arsene Wenger states that Ruud Van Nistelrooy cheated the rules. The FA views the footage and gives Van Nistelhorse a 3 match ban for violent conduct.
Also, Wenger gets a £15,000 fine.
Surely if they view the footage and give Van Nistelcheat a 3 match ban, then they are agreeing with what Wenger said... then why do they give him a fine?
Fuck FA. |
I don't know if Wenger called him a "cheat" for that particular incident. and it wasn't cheating, just plain dirty.
the fine is still a joke tho, as I've never seen a bigger cheat in the English league
than
Ruud Van Nistelrooy
Arsene Wenger should post on here... he can call Ruud a cheat all he wants, and he won't get fined for it

nice to see Milan 'not world class' Baros on fire again against Newcastle yesterday
a cool finish, and a welcome three points, too. No thanks to Graham Poll. |

| I think Liverppol will blow it in the Champions League, I don't want them to though. I do like to see our teams go through (apart from Man Scum), mind you it'd be good for them to all go through and either Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal to knock Red Faced Ferguson's shitty side out. How I'd love that, I'd really love it............................. |

Joey Barton got fined 100,000 pounds for something he did at the Man City Xmas party! 100,000 pounds! How bad does your behaviour have to be to get fined 100,000 pounds? Even by the standards of overpaid footballers that strikes me as being a lot.

Barton faces fine for festive bust-up
Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton is facing a massive fine following an incident at the club's Christmas party on Sunday.
Barton was involved in a fracas with youth team player Jamie Tandy which ended with the combative midfielder stubbing a cigar out in the youngster's eye after Tandy had tried to set his shirt on fire.
City have already carried out an internal investigation into the scrap, with both players deemed guilty of gross misconduct, bringing a fine likely to be well in excess of the previous maximum two weeks' wages, in Barton's case probably around £100,000.
"We are aware of an incident which took place on Sunday involving two of our playing staff," confirmed club spokesman Paul Tyrrell. "An internal investigation has already been carried out by the club and the matter is being dealt with internally."

Oh well, looks like it's my responsibility to keep the football thread alive then!
Shame on you!
Just saw the highlights of Man United V Tottenham on TV... once again, the referee stole the show! This is some unbelievably fucking lousy refereeing.
This is NOT a goal, says the referee Mark Clattenburg.
I repeat
THIS IS NOT A GOAL
.
Of course the ball goes even further before Howard gets to it, so I just can't believe how the referee and the linesman missed that! Even my half-blind grandma would have seen it, for fuck's sake!
Even in lower divisions, it's always the PREMIER LEAGUE referees who make shit decisions like this...
Also, is it just a coincidence that this happened at the
Old Trafford
...?
"Video ref" yes or no? Opinions?

| Video Ref - No! It would take too long to sort stuff out and if the technology broke down everyone would complain. I don't mind the occasional wrong decision, obviously its crap when it goes against your team but it does all even out eventually, if not over the course of a season then over the course of a lifetime supporting a club. Obviously that may not work for Man U fans as most of them are even now considering supporting Chelsea for the rest of the season as they're better now and its closer to home for them. I'm still filled with joy at the thought of the handball Stephane Henchoz got away with in the 2001 Cup Final. |

| I do believe the ref's name was FW Spencer at that Man Scum v Spurs game. The linesman was R Orbison. Apparently. |
