You would have lost without Chris Morgan. _________________

can't wait for tomorrow's media reports congratulating Arsenal on getting an away goal against Bayern, and criticizing Liverpool for only winning 3-1

It was so, so close to being a perfect result. Its odd, if you'd have told me before the game that we'd win 3-1 I'd have been delighted but I can't help feel a bit disappointed that we let in such a late goal. |

Yeah Sheff Utd weren't too great last night. Kenny getting crocked helped of course.

Chelsea were absolutely
shite
today, katieken is not a happy bunny tonight. They got a lucky goal on the first half, even though they had no shots on goal during the whole 90 minutes! Barcelona could and should have won 5-1, they were so much better. It's not going to be easy for Barcelona in the 2nd leg though but I think they'll go through to the quarter finals.
Arsenal were shit as well last night, but at least they got a late away goal, so they can still win, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Liverpool were surprisingly good even without Steven Gerrard, shame about the Dudek blunder in the end, but he made two really good saves earlier in the game so you can't really blame him. And it makes the second leg much more interesting at least.... Did any of you (dave the wibblewoo, martinclart, adam w... etc) go to the match?
Barnsley lost 4-0 against Doncaster yesterday, they're a bunch of lazy wankers. Come back Neil Shipperley! _________________

I took my son to see York play Woking last Saturday. for anybody who doesn't know York have agreed to change there stadium name from Bootham Crescent to "KITKAT CRESCENT" you couldnt invent it!
When the announcer said " good afternoon ladies and gemtlemen and welcome to Kitkat crescent" I felt so sad I could have cried.
And i dont even support York.
Is it Friday yet? _________________ "we wanted to make a sound like penguins going to the post office to collect their pension money" |

| I read about that in the papers over here, didn't Kit Kat step in at the last minute and pay 100 grand for the naming rights to stop the club going bust? Or am I making things up again? |

Kitkat Crescent, haha! Gotta feel sorry for them though.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Manchester United lost last night. _________________

I'd be grinning like a fool too, only for Jerzy Dudek (but I'm trying not to be too hard on the guy... and hey, Roy Carroll last night made me feel much better ) (Oops, calm down, disco') |

Thank you TommyBoo for reminding me of my misery last night. I'm getting very worried that our wheels have come off and are bouncing down a steep mountain in slow motion. I'm praying for Sunday as if they lose I feel we''ll lose the league to Bastard United.
The frustration is unbelievable in my household at the moment. I keep looking up at our signed team wedding card we got as a wedding present and thinking 'please keep going, don't cock it up now'. Very worrying times indeed. If we don't win anything I'm going to the framed card round like when people put photos down on crappy made for tv drama films. We have to get something.
I can't believe Drogba got sent off, harsh to say the least. At least we didn't get beaten 5-1 like last time, I think we still can go through but Barcelona are a very good side(obviously) and there is no way I'm that confident.
And all the funny business going on now, people saying Barca's assistant coach kicked Mourinho up the arse(maybe it was a dare like in Father Ted).
Only time will tell, but we are still 9 points clear, and still in the Champions League, and may beat Liverpool on Sunday. At least there is still light at the end of the tunnel, I just hope it stays that way.
Bollocks, if we win nothing, I'm getting divorced!!!
And in response to the Captains comments regarding the bet he should have placed, I put a few pounds on Newcastle to win the FA Cup in October as I felt Souness would save his neck that way. And it maybe an omen, but apparently last time Chelsea won the league in 1055, Newcastle won the cup. Now there's a thought!! |
