Hmph. I think it would be easier just to re-rip them from the CDs...
You could of course load them one by one in some audio editor, convert them into mp3's, and then save, but that would take much longer.
But why would you convert wma files into mp3's anyway? _________________

| you can do it with sound forge. i think you can also convert wma to wav with winamp and then back to mp3. that may not be the best way. there are a lot of programs that will do it. try "wma to mp3" in google. hope that helps. |

Yeah, you can do it with a lot of programs, but re-ripping those songs from CDs would be much faster than opening each wma file in Sound Forge and then converting it and saving it as a mp3...
It would be a lot of work and only the converting process itself takes quite a while, especially on slower computers. _________________

you are correct - i was just trying to show ways of doing it and i posted before i saw your initial response. i have used winamp and sound forge in the past when i did not have the original source. a new mp3 rip from the original source would definitely be the best way to go. |

Yeah, and the sound quality would probably suffer too (when converting wma --> mp3) _________________

i was trying to squash a load of songs onto one cd. maybe it would be easier to send 2 cds. |
