Look what I found while trying to find some info on those Cure reissues.
http://www.sirendisc.com/cgi/panel.cgi
Features remastered singles, B-sides, rarities and unreleased gems including six rare pre-Creation recordings.
Country: U.K.
Format: 2-CD
Expected Release Date: 23-May-05
So now the big question is about those six songs. Are they songs from
Ichabod & I
or are they talking about those Rough Trade singles?
The mystery deepens! |

Sounds pretty good indeed, but...
... no
One Last Hurrah
,
Eurostar
,
Wilder
or
Everything Is Sorrow
. I probably would have replaced
It's Lulu
,
Joel
and
Janus
with those.
Most of the Wake Up / C'mon Kids / Kingsize era b-sides would have been better than
Janus
in my opinion.
No
Peachy Keen
or
Friendship Song[b] either.
And [b]If You Want It, Take It
...
Blimey, I'm glad that I didn't have to choose the tracks.
4 tracks from Ichabod...
But I already love the way how
Song From The Blueroom
ends the album. Good stuff. _________________

as i have said before i don't have a choice about putting the singles on otherwise 'it's lulu' wouldn't stand a chance.

Oh, I see... Well, all the singles are pretty good anyway, and
It's Lulu
isn't that awful either.
Any idea where Amazon.com got that tracklisting from then? _________________

if that's not the tracklist and there's no mystery, is there any chance of seeing it?
i suppose it doesn't really matter if there's nothing i haven't got, and i'll buy it anyway, but it would be interesting to see... |

Ah so if it has ALL the singles then the world will get Ride The Tiger.

Very true, that most here already have everything already, as I already own
Ichabod & I
,
Learning To Walk
and all 27 singles. I’m missing some odd songs found on
A Boo-sides Collection
.
The best part about this announcement, besides finding out about the new release date, is the word 'remastered' and now it’s a must own. It probably would have been either way. I also hope that Sanctuary Records doesn’t screw up the covers like the have for the first three Creation Anthology’s. If Stephen Wood is going to do the artwork, they can make this one look professional.
I’m glad this isn’t the final draft for the track listing. I was hoping to have more from
Kingsize
but have a feeling that it will be under represented anyways. I know I would like to see in addition to those listed are "Jimmy Webb Is God", "High As Monkeys" and "Put Your Arms Around Me and Tell Me Everything Is Going To Be OK."
With fans though we all have our favorites and no-one is truly satisfied. Martin and the record company could pick any song and it would be fine because I only dislike one song, a truly remarkable feat. I just hope all 160 minutes are taken up. Hopefully a B-sides Compalition and/or Boo’s Box Set is in the future… |

Well said, Monsieur Guest!
But who are you, and what's that one song that you don't like?
I don't think that there any songs that I dislike, but there are some that aren't so very good. _________________

It was me, how did it log me out? Oh well, so yeah.
Since you asked, I can't stand "Free Huey" for some reason. The song is probaly alright but just doesn't fit on the album so I always skip it. |

Perhaps you're right,
Free Huey
is quite a bit different than the other songs on the album, but it's quite a good single. Not my number one single choice though, but I'm glad I never had to make those decisions! _________________

radio edits are almost always worse than the unedited version of a song, but, I prefer the shorter Free Huey |
