toshi sent me a copy of something calling itself a bravecaptain mix cd (thanks toshi! )
can anyone shed any light on what the origins of this are?
it's about 35 minutes, with an eclectic range of music and some comedy clips including bill hicks. not being a very widely-listened music fan, the only song i recognise is a bit of almost nearly there by the boos, i think .
help! |

i bought this cd-r from action record in preston a few years ago and liked very much since, although i've got no idea if it's really mixed by bravecaptain.
here you can see the photo of the cd. it hasn't got a sleeve or anything.

i'd been learning how to upload files to my homepage for whole weekend, strugging with another lungage. still comfused but i think i'm ready to do.
martin, do you mind if i drop the mp3 file on my homepage so that everyone here can listen to it?
because the cd i've got has at least your name printed.
(unfortunately, quality's so miserable. i have only 10Mbites) |

it's not bravecaptain music its just a mix of tunes that i liked at the time. i don't have a copy anymore otherwise i would post it.

- perhaps I could help you with this.
(I'd like to hear those songs as well and in good enough quality, so I'd be happy to help)
Put all the songs in one zip archive, then go to www.yousendit.com and send the zip file to my e-mail. (I will send you my address in a private message)
I'll upload the songs on my website and anyone who's interested can download them from there...
Let me know, toshi-san.
Sayonara.

No worries, toshi.
Take your time.
Rip the songs on mp3 from that CD, and make sure that the quality is at least 128kbps. Then just put all the songs in one big zip file (using WinZip or WinRAR) and go to www.yousendit.com and follow the instructions there.
Now I'm going to sit down, have a cup of tea and wait patiently.
Arigatou, toshi-san. _________________

so i listened to the first 8 minutes of it, the first 3 minutes was alright, it kinda reminded me a wee bit of "Electric Company". then the last minute of the 8 minutes turned to shit and that's when i decided i've heard enough of it. It' s the Fuckin' rap, it's sounds like the shit i dropped in the head yesterday. |

Cheers everyone. We do get looked after well here don't we?
A lorry drove into us today on the way to work. It was my mate's car and I was getting a lift (my car is already in the garage after my neighbour reversed into it last week... grrr). The lorry crunched off the wing-mirror, gouged the full length of the side of the car, and then carried on driving down on to the M4 without stopping. Fortunately (and this is the good bit) a police car was parked near to us, chased the lorry down the M4 and pulled it over. Hahaha serves him right. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/thelostcavalry

This mix is great, definitely a 'mix'!
Love the War Of The Worlds sample, I've always thought that bit of speaking was great. My mate used to start his DJ sets with it.
Tommy will know the answer to this... is there somewhere I can upload a load of mp3's to for free where people can download them from? I want to show of my mix CD to you guys!
