No. And that was why I was asking! _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Even with a 300 million debt, Man U will still come nowhere near bankruptcy Disco. They have long been one of, if not the richest clubs in the world.
I read one fan saying they would rather win cups through hard work rather than havin Abramovich type billions. What utter sour grapes! Is that why they have their own TV channel and change kit every year? what shite. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Also, why are people assuming Man U will now go tits up? Investing hundreds of millions of pounds in a club (even if it is mostly borrowed) is not something you do unless you wish for that business interest to succeed.
Surely? _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

can't say I've ever seen anyone on here admit to being a fan
a little surprising, for the world's *cough* most loved *cough* club, no?
where do they get such claims of popularity from, anyway? was it based on their domination of European football or something?
I think it's more to do with people equating the amount of tabloid/media stories with popularity, but anyone with a brain knows that what annoys, sells also.
they like to counter that people dislike them coz of their success, but I hated Arsenal in the early 90s, and now when they're far more successful, I have nothing but admiration for their style of play of late (well, in the Premiership, at least!)
it's Man Utd's arrogance (even recall ex-manager Tommy Docherty once writing in the '90s that the United players thought no one had a right to even tackle them).
they can't claim to be the most succesful, so it has to be most liked. It's really more a case of: well liked + even more hated = lots of media coverage.
a bit like the U2 situation, really... |

Well said that man! I fucking hated Arsenal under George Graham. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

that's the thing, I'm not going around laughing and saying that they're ruined now
I've not really been paying much attention to it all, although I thought I read that Glazer could or would channel (for want of a better word) a large debt of his own (and I read £800m, not £300m) into it being something Man Utd will be liable for, IF Glazer gets 75% of the club (and he's not far off, supposedly)
...I never was very interested in business |

and of course once he get's that 75%, and channels the debt in, the other 25% of shareholders will fuck off and he'll end up owning the full club. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

I'm a city fan and even I can't laugh about it for some wierd reason. I think it might be because of the photo's of Glazer that are frankly terrifying. He looks like a troll. |

for me, maybe it's because earlier on, we had to endure United fans mocking Liverpool at the prospect of the prime minister of Thailand buying, or buying into Liverpool FC, and you can see, some of them aren't laughing now. I mean, who knows what the future holds for any club, financially, when non-football loving business people see the opportunity to use football as another way to make more millions for themselves? I guess such things are just bad for football, no matter who the team.
who needs a load of millionaires running around a field, not caring too much if they win or lose, anyway?
simplistic, moi?! |

Like I say though, whether he cares about football or not. It's not going to be in his interests to run the lub into the ground, so I think people are worrying prematurely about their imminent relegation _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

it depends... if he raises ticket prices, it remains to be seen what, if any, effect it will have
possibly none... until the glory hunters no longer have any glory to hunt, at least |
