Some reasons why KT Tunstall is ace:
1. She writes ace tunes
2. She's not Dido
3. She might not be cutting edge but not everything has to be, does it?
4. Her drummer is Luke Bullen out of the Mescaleroes and he's ace.
5. I loathe to say it but it's great driving music
6. She's got amazing presence in the flesh.
7. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree is the worst song on the album, in fact it's much better on the first pressing of the album, done live on Later on her own with that Akai Headrush pedal where she samples herself and builds up the tune around her. See she is cutting edge!
8. Her producer is Steve Osborne of the Mondays, New Order, Manics, Lamb, Doves, Elbow and Suede fame. That's a pretty good pedigree.
9. When it comes down to it, it's just a really nice album of songs by someone with a fantastic voice. _________________ "stay away from the man with dodgy eye, stay away from the dodgy eyed man" |

A bit like David Gray then? _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

She is kind of cool when she does the sampling thing, the opening riff on suddenly good as well. Wouldnt buy the album though.

A year and a bit after it first came out I've bought the Go! Team album yesterday and I bloody loves it. That should have won the Mercury Music prize and everything at the Q bash last night. In what crazy netherworld is 'Don't Believe The Truth' the best album this year?
Here's the Go! Team's list of favourite songs, there's some top tunes in there:
Ain't Got No - Nina Simone
New White Kross (Rehearsal Tapes Version) - Sonic Youth
It's Your Dog Charlie Brown- Vince Guaraldi
Guilford Fall - Fugazi
Yes We Can-Can - Treacherous Three
He's My Sunny Boy- Diana Ross & The Supremes
Prophets of Rage- Public Enemy
Witchita Lineman - Glen Campbell
The Number Song - DJ Shadow
Holy Thursday - David Axelrod
Midnight Cowboy - John Barry
Roygbiv - Boards of Canada
Eric B Is On the Cut - Eric B. & Rakim
Fingerbib - Aphex Twin
Philosophy of the World - The Shaggs |

I loved Fugazi, total straight edge band that drank their own sweat after gigs, yum. |
