Incidentally, John: there's details on how to tune into the show in the faq on my new website:

Didn't Cee-lo just do an album with Dangermouse (who also has an album out with the godlike mf doom)? I think it's called 'Gnarles Barkely'.

Nik Cohn had an anthology out years ago called, i think, 'ball to the wall' and it is wonderful. There is a piece in there about a disco dancer which I am sure, but will check, was used as the inspiration for the film 'saturday night fever'.

thanks for the session. it was really good!
the only bad thing is I had to stare the bit rate of the radio player kept descending when I recorded it. (50bps at last) is this due to the place i live or bbc?
anyway, I like the session very much.

Hi sendai,

I think that the bitrate depends on the contention ratio of the people using the service. [i.e. the amount of people listening simultaneously].

Well, John - you can certainly hum the Munsters' theme over the top of the intro to the Strokes' new single.

We have two winners! Unfortunately the sweatshop from which supplies all official John Mc merchandise has let me down so you'll have to do without the T-shirts I'm afraid.

Can't get your radio show on the wireless Adam, tell the BBC to turn up their transmitters a bit even if it means drowning out emergency broadcast signals. i'll keep listening via the internet though and am quite tempted by a DAB radio as well now that they're quite cheap.

And that Cee-lo/Dangermouse' album isn't out yet and the only info i can find out about it is that its out in 'Winter 2005'. Most search engines I typed it into asked "Are you sure you didn't mean "Charles Barkley?" in a patronising manner. Its a sign that computers have got too smart and are turning against us.

I recorded it, perhaps I'll upload it somewhere and then post a link here some time later...
well, if it's OK for Martin and Adam W, of course.

so I think I'll wait and see if they've got something to say...
