I'm sure someone will come up with something original within a couple of weeks, my mate has been trying to start a Momo Sissoko chant to the tune of "No Limits" for a number of weeks now with no success.

Anyone who does the "Easy! Easy!" Soccer AM chant should be immediately ejected from the ground.

was your mate in the upper bullens for the derby? or are there 2 people with the same idea?

the momo sissoko song that seems to be catching on (at home games) is to the tune of the banana splits, i think!

"easy, easy" has been around for years, but i agree that anyone doing the stupid clapping above their head should be ejected if not banned for life or shot. similarly with 'who are ya' or 'you're not singing anymore' (especially when the people singing it have sung nothing up to then). Mad

He wasn't at the derby but I'm sure he'll be delighted that the chant is slowly sweeping around the world. I like the "Mo! Mo! Mo! Morrientes! Morrientes!" one as well. So many Mo's, so few chants. Apparently City fans sing "Sven should pick Darius" to the tune of "I Predict A Riot" which is a questionable sentiment but an inventive chant.

We are living through the most hyperbolic footballing times in the history of the universe, i've just sat through 90 minutes of Mark Lawrenson orgasming every time that Rossi bloke up front for Man U successfully controlled a ball - he did well but they were playing Burton Albion not Barcelona.

Also the commentator on the Arsenal game at the weekend described Thierry Henrys admittedly rather good performance as "the finest individual display I've ever seen", this was against a Boro defence with an average age of 12 years old (approximately).

Thank god that in these crazy times when praise is handed out so easily, the Liverpool website maintains a sense of perspective:

that article worries me. I mean, if Stevie G reads that, his ego is bound to explode, and then who are Liverpool gonna depend on to help them beat Man Utd on Sunday?

and what wages will he demand the next time he decides he really loves Liverpool but is confused as to whether the club wants him or not?

Is anyone watching the African Nations Cup?

I saw Nigeria vs. Ghana yesterday, what a great game! Well, Nigeria are my favourites in the tournament so maybe that's why, but there's something that I love about big international games like this too. The best African teams play very beautiful football just like the South Americans, but they don't cheat as much so it's great.

World Cup 2006 kicks off in less than 5 months - woo hoo! Very Happy

i've just finished the robbie fowler autobiography the other week. He talks about wanting to go back to liverpool and almost did before going to man city. apparently the liverpool board would not give houlier any more money to get him back. i wonder if leeds are still going to be paying a chunk of his wages?? If he can stay fit i'm sure he will do good.

is sam allardyce really going to be the england manager? It just seems a little strange but i would take anyone over steve mcclaren. that man is a graham taylor waiting to happen.
