placebo - without you I'm nothing featuring David Bowie. Strange how a simple backing vocal can add so much to a song... _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Depends how far back in time you have to go for something to be considered "retro". There's an album I've been listening to quite a lot recently that's older than the average Arctic Monkeys fan* - "Erasure" by Erasure. It's a lot more introverted and personal than any of their output in the 80s, filled to the brim with seven-minute long tracks, and features some of Andy Bell's better vocal performances.

I brought a fantastic album this week for nostalgia's sake, when I was a about 6 years old my favourite singer was Gilbert O Sullivan. So this week I brought the Berry Vest of Gilbert O Sullivan. It certainly didn't dissapoint. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/addolorata |

It's not aged very well, but "Violator" by Depeche Mode has some out-and-out classics on it...
I have no idea whether I'm looking forward to seeing them live or not
