"A celebration of Jim Henson's colourful creations, to mark the 50th birthday of Kermit the Frog. Fans including Davina McCall, Christopher Eccleston and Michael Parkinson remember the craziest, wildest and most hilarious moments from the show, along with famous faces who appeared as guests, including Bruce Forsyth, Alice Cooper, Twiggy and Harry Belafonte. fookin bruce is on - that's good enough for me!
7pm on itv though is likely to mean more adverts than muppets - might have to record this one than i can forward through the 20 minutes of "remember, there's no such thing as a bad idea" etc |

My aunt and uncle used to work for ATV (Central TV) who used to make the Muppets. When I was a little kid, they took me along to Elstree for a day to watch the Muppet Show being made.....it was as good a present as a little kid could ever want and was the most fantastic day.
All the muppeters (including Jim Henson and Frank Oz) took time out to talk to me (both as themselves and as the muppets) and I got a book full of Muppet autographs. The special guest start was Gene Kelly who also took time out to say hello.
As a small kid, The Muppet Show was magical! _________________ Inspire in me, the desire in me to never go home... |
