Dublin seems to be a real trap for bands. Who was the last band to really break out? The thrills? It's kind of brutal but I don't think any of the current crop are gonna make it either..humanzi, channel 1, ham sandwich et al. |
maybe, maybe not... but all of the above are probably superior to de Trills. well, I reckon Humanzi definitely are, and others not mentioned, but 'making it' is almost a sign of being shit anyway, coz marketing rules the music business, not talented musicians |

Well I hope that making it is not a sign of being shit, and if it is, I think it's more a case of the public's taste being brutal than marketing. The Thrills are godawful though aren't they.. _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

when you see so many good bands getting nowhere, while so many rubbish ones get acclaim, you can only think that that's the case |

Yeah, absolute shite and their long lost half-brother Damien Rice, who apparently is organising a carbon-free neutral area at the electric picnic, he's having a laugh! He has a lot of carbon to neutralise what with all the international air travel and cd packaging and all that. _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons
