I'm going to Rome on the 20th to the 24th of July with my man, for his birthday.

Any tips on good hotels?
Location is important to me, I'd like us to walk a lot. But I want the hotel to be a bit nice too.

Love & Peace

You can try this chain, I used to stay in them all the time but I haven't stayed in one in Rome so I'm not sure how nice they are.

Probably because he can't afford it, at the moment he's more poor than a student...and in those situations I'm not that selfish of a person to demand such huge presents.

just thought it wuz a little strange since someone would give his/her self a huge present for his/her own birthday, but that'd just be me...

if i knew reinacarnation were possible, then i'd be reluctant enough to shoot my brains-out on my birthday as a gift to myself. Wink

I'm puzzled here, don't know what you're talking about. I'm getting him a trip to Rome for HIS birthday. He doesn't know anything aside from the fact that he will be busy those days.

Maybe you think he's buying it for himself because he's the guy and men should always pay...well, women can too!

Love & Peace

In my experience, Hotels are what you make them......

If you see what I mean. Wink

what if there's cockroaches in the cabinet?

what if you hear rats running inside the walls?

what if there's cracks and holes in the walls?

what if the toilet isn't clean and does'nt work?

what if the hotel has a history of violent crimes?

what if the floors creak everytime you walk on them?

what if the shower or bathtub does'nt work?

what if the water faucet spits-out mud and brownish dirty-water?

what if the mirrors are two-way mirrors?

what if the bed is messy, damp and smells like urine?

what if the bed has bed-bugs?

Anything in Rome is good, anywhere near the Staion Termini is well located for exploring. Beware of the underground though. One of relatives told me it was really complicated, when in fact its an x with two lines!! Really hard to understand given the London tube!!!! Oh and go to the Trevi Fountain because its ace!!
