Tonights Ireland game was possibly the least important football match ever played. I sat through it for the full 90 minutes though looking for signs that Gonzales is the man to lead us to Premiership glory next year, he looked alright, bit worrying that he couldn't outpace Richard Dunne though.
Is anyone gonna do the fantasy football thing? The uptake has been very selective so far. |

Congratulations Tommy, was a good game. Penalties are ace when your team isn't involved. Felt sorry for that bloke who missed the final one for Swansea, they should never have let him take it after he missed that chance in the final minute of normal time.
Watch the Sky documentary about our champions league win last night, still gives me goosebumps. Its odd that Smicer will always be viewed as a massive hero at Anfield inspite of 4 dodgy years there. He's definitely my favourite Czech player ever.
Djimi Traore is the second longest serving player in our squad. I find that strange and scary.
Players I've never heard of are appearing in the England squad, who is Ben Foster?

am i the only one who finds his point-to-name-on-back-of-shirt celebration really annoying even after a goal like that?
people are saying that gerrard could be the best player who ever played for the club, and maybe they're right, but for me he still has a long way to go to be measured alongside the likes of liddell, dalglish and barnes in the way he handles himself.
no doubt he'll leave now and we'll be relegated... |

kelvin mackenzie, sun editor who brought us "gotcha" and "the truth" amongst other headlines will be presenting a series on bbc five live soon.
if you'd like to tell the bbc your views on this cunt, his views and their decision to employ him, please do so:

thanks
do you think "conscientious objector" would be any defence against non payment of my tv license? |

I'm sure $tevie Me's (copyright The Guardian) ego will be kept in check by the title of the official FA Cup Final DVD

It's sickening. I recommend not looking at it at all.
Get well soon, Djibril... no one deserves such bad luck. |

It's a rubbish situation, we can't sell on him, Marseille can't buy him, the World Cup will be deprived of a great haircut, Adidas made him the centre of their World Cup campaign will have to revamp their adverts and, worst of all, he won't be moving so i can't buy his house and become The Lord Of Frodsham. Get well soon Cisse.
Great start to the world cup, is cool they're playing it with a 99p plastic football to show the kids that you don't need to have loads of money to take part in the beautiful game. |
