It's the bastard offspring of Iron Maiden and Queen.

and it's exactly as bad as that idea sounds.

Sad

the teletext review said it was ace. do you like their other stuff, or is it different enough to make that irrelevant?

I hated the first album.

I thought the second album was better with some great singles.

I really like the last album and watching them at Glastonbury was one of the most amazing moments in my life.

But this one..... It's being hailed as a work of genius in just the same way as Be Here Now was. No one seems to have a bad word to say about it, just raving about the ambition and mentalness of it. It's TOO over the top. It's so theatrical that it's just stupid. There are no "Hysteria's", no" Time Is Running Out's", no "Stockholm Syndromes".

Each to their own and everything, but I'm not a fan of Rock Opera.

kinkster, i was less than impressed when i first listened to that mono version that leaked weeks ago. but hearing the stereo version has definitely changed my opinion. give it another chance. i will admit that "take a bow" is somewhat grating, but there are some quality tracks. i think i like it better than absolution with origin of symmetry being my top pick.

Yeah and they also say Joshua Tree is the best 80's album and Razorlight have made the best guitar album since Definitely Maybe.
