I know you're not serious but for the record, I've seen Ronaldo wink during the national song singing etc.
First England fans complain their team played badly, then when the team is actually out, all spotlight is put on others...pffff.

"what a winker, what a football winker"
never mind the guy kicking the other guy in the privates as he lies on the ground, the Portuguese player WINKED at his countrymen
give him the death penalty!
oh no wait, Ronaldo and penalty doesn't sound like a good combination |

just settling in to watch the italy- germany match. I have to watch it on one of the spanish channels as i don't have cable and can't be arsed to go out to a bar. In some ways its better than the american commentators who referred to England as Germany in the first match and were licking the arse hole of portugal during the quarter final match. Oh yeah and the 'expert analysts'(alexi Lalas and Eric Wynalda) on ESPN predicted that the USA would make it to at least the semi finals. Daft twats. _________________ Martin O'Neill's Claret And Blue Army |

| Now that was a football match. Was very odd to see two teams spending 120 minutes trying to score goals and win the game. It'll never catch on. |

When the world cup ends what will we do??
Personally I'm going to go out and walk in the meadows with only the skylark as company _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

It does create a football shaped hole though. Well, only two months untill Ireland play Germany for Euro 2008 qualifiers. Hopefully the buoyant mood will have left them by then, and we can frustrate them with shocking bad football for ninety minutes and get some kind of a dodgy goal or at least a draw _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

| Full marks to Zidane, it really is better to burn out than to fade away. |

Erm...yeah...I think he's stupid but it wasn't his first time so not really surprised, but I really would like to know what was said.
On a different note...YEEAAAHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAA! All of my life I waited for yesterday and it happened!

All of this reminds me. Will the song, "Zizou" ever see the light of day? Not even as a demo or live recording? I never did hear it though I remember a review describing it as a cacophony and I tend to love cacophonies.

i have never seen anyone headbutt someone in the chest before, you can't fault Zidane for innovation or creativity on the football field.
if a brazilian had done that we'd all be raving about it. |
