"Idiot Wind" - Bob Dylan. I don't usually like him but I was in the mood for a full-on depressing album so I bought Blood On The Tracks. Disappointingly its not as depressing as I'd expected, I wanted "Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space" levels of self pity. Idiot Wind is good though and goes on forever. |

It kind of has with Vitalic..some of his tracks are similar to fischerspooner, well to my ear anyway (untrained as it is in the finer nuances of techno) _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

Is the Vitalic album any good, it got amazing reviews but I'm a bit dubious about buying any of this new fangled dance music. I bought an album by Quantic (not David unfortunately) a couple of weeks which got amazing reviews in dance magazines but its really, really dull. |

Well, if you like emerge by fischerspooner I'll guess that you'll like Vitalic. It's a good album, very interesting and funky, some singing on it too...maybe you should see can you listen to any of his stuff on his website or summat first..but yeah I'd reccommend it _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

tune of the day today is 1234567 which is a track off the forthcoming akira the don album about the whole going to heaven fairy story thing they tried to teach me and my friends when we were little.
more truth from shakira.
lp is out in november so fair play to the dude who sent me a promo at the weekend.
akira also has a double a-side single out on 11 september which has oh! what a glorious thing on one side and boom! (smash stuff) on the other - the latter samples elastica's connection which i think is one of those examples of where somebody has got the art of the pop single just right.
i will also post my amazing remix of akira the don's previous single clones up here soon, which is done in the style and spirit of the human league 1983 - not that i expect anyone to be interested or impressed by it other than me!
regulars here will already know a bit about akira the don from his collaborations with bravecaptain, but for passers by, welcome, and check out his site featuring blog and free stuff:

Justice vs Simian - We Are Your Friends, its on satellite TV all the time and I've been watching telly non-stop for the past week and have barely left the sofa so its gradually worn me down.
Paperlung have got a second single coming out:

The readers of Q have opted for "Live Forever" as their Tune Of The Day/Best Tune Ever. They're wrong though cos today's best tune of all time is "The Champ" by Ghostface Killah which I presume was at number 21 on the list.
1. 'Live Forever' – Oasis
2. 'Wonderwall' – Oasis
3. 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' – Nirvana
4. 'A Day In The Life' – The Beatles
5. 'One' – U2
6. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' – Queen
7. 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' – Joy Division
8. 'Stairway To Heaven' – Led Zeppelin
9. 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' – The Verve
10. 'Paranoid Android' – Radiohead
11. 'Angels' – Robbie Williams
12. 'Like A Rolling Stone' – Bob Dylan
13. 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' – The Smiths
14. 'London Calling' – The Clash
15. 'Hallelujah' – Jeff Buckley
16. 'Billie Jean' – Michael Jackson
17. 'With Or Without You' – U2
18. 'God Save The Queen' – Sex Pistols
19. 'Comfortably Numb' – Pink Floyd
20. 'Don’t Look Back in Anger' – Oasis |
