I think the 3-0 flattered slightly.

Plymouth more than matched us physically but were also very threatening going forward, but once we broke the deadlock the confidence seemed to drain a little bit.

On the basis of that one game I'd predict a top half finish for Plymouth, though the play-offs might still be just that little bit of reach.

Ian Holloway was good value post match again though:

"I didn't recognise the Green Army. You can't be an untethered horse. I haven't gone mad - I'm just a bit disappointed to say the least. I want them to smell of what I am about."

we're 23/1 to go down with betfair but i can't bet on that and tbh and in view of your positives we shouldn't. but the squad is wafer thin and i think a rough couple of months lay ahead unless we can bring quality in in january.

you'll be automatic this year though 'cos i've money on Soton and yer the only team who've the firepower to nearly rival birminghams.

we still love holloway, i think its the first time i've wanted Argyle to succeed for the manager rather than just for me and the boys teg!

Am too tired to decide if this is a good thing, bad thing or just a thing. It's a good thing isn't it?

i think so. it's well meaning anyway. probably won't make much difference, but at least they're trying. the atmosphere at most home games is pretty terrible and the number of clueless fans shouting 'who are ya' seems to be going up.

i'm looking forward to saturday's game and the chance to be part of an angry kop telling kelvin mackenzie where to stick his 'truth'.

The atmosphere ain't what it used to be but my friend who's been living abroad for the last 8 years, went to the Watford game and got all emotional and started crying during YNWA before the match. The atmosphere was all too much for the lad. I have really soft friends.

The atmosphere at the Barcelona game should be incredible, providing they haven't put 12 past us in the first leg.

I just used the word 'atmosphere' in 3...make that 4, consecutive sentences. I am Russ Abbott.

dear footie genie/god

please let plimuff argyle beat peterboro and barnet beat colchester in next weeks reeplaze. then let us stuff barnet, draw manu away in r5 so that i can forgive the team from the craziest high street in london for denying me a chance to watch plimuff at old trafford last season.

and i'm pushing it now...
then let us beat manu and draw spurs away for q/f. that's all i want from the season now so please see to it.

thank u

If Zidane tried any of this nonsense in the sports hall at Woolston High School he'd end up with 2 broken legs.

C'mon Liverpool, restore my faith in everything and beat Chelsea.

Quote:
People who ask 'who's your premiership team then?' - i support plymouth argyle and only plymouth argyle you armchair supporting, probably been nowhere near manchester, west/ north london, merseyside in your life you annoying patronising twat.
In fact include supporters of lesser prem teams like west ham and portsmouth or those slumming it in the ccc who make the garden shed, we're you're cup final jokes.

WTF is it with the "your cup final" thing? I first noticed when the side producing the poorest ever league season for us went on a "great" cup run in 99/00 to Rd 4(where we got knocked out by PNE Rolling Eyes).

Trips to the mighty Brentford and Reading saw the Green Army being subjected to "1-0" in your cup final chants etc. For Rd1 and Rd2 FA Cup Ties. At clubs in just 1 div above us. It was our huge support that prompted them making them think we were chuffed at such a big draw. As if the arseholes. It was just the grounds were only 3-3.5hrs drive away from Plymouth. We were mid table shite and it was the FA Cup. Which as any fan of any club of any level will tell you always gets the lads on the road particularly when its for a local tie.

It sounded twatty then and it sounds twattier still when fans of Leeds are still belting it out at Championship grounds 3 yrs after relegation and long after they've become a regular championship fixure.

And in answer to the premiership question its Aberdeen. Heck the Scots used the premier word first and it sure as hell stumps the knobs who ask that. One team is stressful enough. Repeat one team is stressful enough.

Feel a bit guilty about chanting "USA! USA!" to Man U fans last season now.

Hope our new stadium has a bit of character, went to the Emirates tonight and from the outside it looks like a spaceship (thats a great thing) but on the inside it looks like a red version of the Reebok without the cheerleaders.

the 'american thing' seems to be a good thing at villa. There is a lot of fan interaction and positive thinking for the future. Its not all about spending a shitload of money of players now and being fucked in 5 years time when they piss off back home with all the money. (hopefully this happens to chelsea).

I think your all in safer hands than Chelsea, the debt at Man U is enormous but it'll be recouped and with the money to be made in the game yer may as well be run by big business' as opposed to being a billionaire's plaything.

TBH I think Chelsea have been hilarious, and they've gate crashed the cash grabbing party that was the intent of the key movers behind the premiership when it started. But I don't see it lasting much longer.

Oh and Hew apologies for Villa's FA Cup exit - I couldn't resist the 40/1 on Villa to win it, so bet on yer before the 3rd rd draw were made...

Hopefully Abramovich has got bored with Chelsea now, he hasn't been to the last 6 games. He needs to stay interested until the end of the season though because his team are marginally the lessor of two evils.

Most pointless match ever - to celebrate the founding of the Common Market:
