Dear Forum Master,

Please accept my deepest apologies and consider this as a retraction of my previous statement. I didn't realise it at the time of that particular post, but the tune of the day is actually Transatlanticism by Death Cab For Cutie.

Hope this rectifies our little "situation".

x

Tune Of The Day has already been posted today.

Death Cab For Cutie must be Tune of Tomorrow, though from the messages I'm getting it's "Crooked Teeth" not "Transatlanticism", but I have to admit it's a very weak signal I'm getting right now.

You should hear what Saturday's is - I can't wait to tell everyone!

i see how it works. In that case please book me in for Jordan and Peter Andre 'A Whole New World' as Tune of the Day for next Friday and 'Ice Cream' by the New Young Pony Club as Tune of the Day for March 2nd.

I can help you out there John - I just checked the files and tune of the day for today (4 Jan 07) is Hip Hop Is Dead by Nas:

But have you heard the album? It's terrible - overlong, overblown and over...over...erm...overflowing with tunes which aren't very good. God's Son and, Street's Disciple were both ace but Hip Hop is Dead ain't.

I have the LP in my pile here to listen to - suddenly I have no enthusiasm to do so...

Saying that, any track sampling Michael Viner's Incredible Bongo Band is worth a few listens at least!

Never, ever listen to what I think, I'm just some old bloke who hates everything except Jamie Carragher, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and Sonic Youth. This bloke seemed to like it a lot:

Maybe he's right. He's not though.

Since I've had the line "My ex says I'm lacking in depth" rattling round in my head all morning, this was actually going to be my choice for Tune Of The Day. Spooky. Shocked Yesterday's TotD was undoubtedly "Skylon!" wasn't it?
