What's He Building? by Tom Waits...

Half song, half an unfinshed creepy short story. All good.

'How Can You Sleep?' by Paperlung

Balance arrived yesterday and was played several times before bedtime! this was always a stand-out track for me and it's still a favourite though Helia Regina is sneaking up behind it...

Damnation - I thought it wasn't out until the end of October...

Storm In A Teacup by Erasure. Lead track from their "Storm Chaser" EP that came out this week. I imagine this one becoming a bit of an under-appreciated gem of a track.

I got my copy of Balance earlier this week too. It's quite simply beautiful. Very Happy

"Fucked Up Kid" by Kevin Drew.

The new Charlatans album is gonna be free thanks to lovable Uncle Alan McGee:

Interesting.... Hope it's better than the last couple though, even if it is free!

Makes perfect sense to me. I went to see The Charlies this time last year, despite not having bought an album of theirs since Wonderland. They are top live, even though everyone there is my age Confused

... and in a similar free-music move, the download of the next Radiohead album will cost "as much as you want to pay" i.e. nowt if you're tight.

Being the sad fan that I am, I can tell you now that at least one track from it will be mentioned in a future post by myself in this very topic.

Ordered the 'as much as I will pay' Radiohead album today! I'll get the mp3's for free, but almost certainly buy the 'proper' one when it comes out (2 months after the download version) when it comes out.

And as for The Charlatans - Tim and Mark played last night at The Astoria at a charity gig and they were great, including some songs from the forthcoming album.

For some reason I find everything that Radiohead do smug and annoying. This is possibly because I'm a small minded wanker.

Footballl as gone mad and I don't like it. 7-4 and 4-4 results devalue the game, the players should be made to go out there again and take it all seriously. Football ain't about entertainment, it's about misery, resiliance and admiring Fernando Torres' lovely hair.

Today's Kevin Drew Tune of The Day is "Lucky Ones" which is stuffed full of widescreen pop loveliness.

sister siam by the whip.

all hail to them, only maps have come close to them this year. a great set at the slightly disappointing Lazt Fest last nite. Its another mighty tune. Can't wait for exeter, cardiff, sheffield n more of their seemingly never ending tours!
