What should it be?
If there are no replies by that point, I guess Paperlung is the front runner..... I'd rather have something with a few more bleeps though

It's just cos it's Sice though innit? I know it's sacrilegious in these parts, but I thought the Eggman album merely, "okay" and what I've heard of "Balance" sounds the same...

20 minutes left... so Kinkstarrr, what's it going to be then?
I think the Eggman album is actually really good, even the b-sides on the "replace all your lies with truth" single are ace.
The new Paperlung album is full of
nice
songs, and even though all the songs on it are at least 'okay', I think some of them could be a bit more edgy.

My girlfriend has decided that tonight I will be shopping for curtains, so the "recommend me a CD" thread can now run until 5pm tomorrow!

I like it (Balance), it's quite old-fashioned indie sounding almost - pre-Britpop jinjgly/jangly if you know what I mean.
But as an alternate suggestion: dunno, I've drawn a blank on anything bleepy & new. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

How about Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by Of Montreal.
Probably the best album of this year IMHO.
You can hear it all online here - http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/hissing/
That's what I did and ended up buying all their albums!

I'd say strawberry jam by animal collective |
I'm intrigued now!
"If I wanted to listen to the sound of toilets flushing, I would sit in the public restroom all day before I would listen to this piece of crap. This band is trying to be all "ahead of the times" but what they are really producing is mindless drivel. One reviewer has said, "Strawberry Jam can still be disorienting and thrilling, but we now have to take the members of Animal Collective for the words they've finally decided to let us hear." ARE YOU KIDDING??? Like we should wait around 6 albums to finally get some lyrical content, when other bands are slayed for theirs?!? Overall, this album has to be the worst of the year. Its sad that something like this even gets made. Do yourself a favor and listen to the static on the radio before you spend your money on this waste of time. In a case of the Emperors New Clothes, you crazy named indie wannabe's have not fooled me. Kase Ah Closed-ededed! " _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,
