Hi all, my name is Kris and my msn address is krisgormley@hotmail.com.

I'd love to stay in touch with you all, because you are all lovely people. I was worried for a while there that we'd lost this board and therefore, er, touch(?). If that horrible day does one day come to pass, I'd very much like to stay in contact. So, er, there you go.

Your friend, Kris x

p.s. How good is Punk Rock by bravecaptain?

Punk Rock by bravecaptain is a good thing, as is punk rock in general. When done properly of course.

I've just finished reading a fine book about Barney of "Barney & Me" fame. It's written like an unauthorised biography but at the end the auther gave it to Mr Sumner and he's added notes throughout the book. So you'll have a paragraph with the other describing an event and then it's followed by Barney saying "That's complete bollocks, it didn't happen like that at all". It a fine way of writing a book and its a style that I will steal one day and pass off as my own.

I got to interview Chuck D a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been so nervous since I last saw Djimi Traore's name on the Liverpool teamsheet.

Tune of the day is blatantly 'Brakes On' by Air. Of course it is.

Cheers Sparky.

Has anyone been to see 'Control' yet? I was meant to go tonight but am suffering 'Post 2-2 draw depression' and can't be arsed.

dah! i was hiding from the scores. i thought the bravecaptain board was safe territory. no doubt when i switch the tv on later it will be on that bit on the news where all the scores are on the screen - that always happens.

off to see control a week on saturday - i think it is going to be very sad...

It's called "Confusion" and it's ace. They usually have it HMV along with the 400 books about Pete Doherty and ironic 70's kids TV shows.

Girl with a gun and a cigarette country tune of the day: Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert. The whole album is ace and I've been listening to it non-stop for the last month, even when sleeping or performing heart transplants. I'm officially old now and don't want grubby indie kids moaning about life people not understanding cos they wear Converse trainers, I want angry women with firearms singing about dry towns and going to Nashville.

Film of the Day - American Gangster, the album is rubbish though apart from the first couple of tracks.
