Sorry, I was just listening to the melodic beauty that is, "I Don't Know Any Better", and just had to come here and say that.
This is probably the longest i've gone since I was 17 without hearing any new Martin Carr material. It's like a supporting pillar of my life has disappeared!

does anyone know anything about these two rarities which were probably recorded by bravecaptain,
one is called "black november..."or something and it's short but an excellent instrumental,
the other one is another mix of "whatever happened to fingertip saint",i guess.
i can't remember well how i was led to these files ,but i copy-pasted from the cache some eighteen months ago.
are they the tunes that you all know?
or is this something that i shouldn't have reveal?
toshi.
p.s.
true story : i got involved in a car crash this morning. no one got injured.
and i started to think that we all might be dead tommorrow, the fact that i always forget.
so, if you are interested in these rarities, ask me before it's too late.
first i have to beg mr. carr's pardon though. |

Black November was part of a soundtrack for a film that I did (The soundtrack not the film). I will have a look to see if I've still got all that stuff and put it up. x |

hi toshi!
i'm glad to hear that you weren't hurt in the crash, i hope that everything else is ok with you as well.
hmm, I also seem to have a track called 'black november' on my computer, but I have absolutely no idea where it's come from.
honestly.
i think i might also have this fingertip saint mix that you're talking about...
and what's the film that you're talking about martin clartin?

Is the Fingertip Saint remix the one that was on that Eyeless In Canton mix, or another?
I haven't heard of Black November, if the lower-cased one gives his blessing I would obviously be grateful to anyone who can supply me with it... _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

Black November is really good isn't it (now I have it)? Surprised it didn't get a 'more proper' release...
"Black November"; "Another Day In December" - don't think t'captain is a winter-person somehow... _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

don't forget 'dead of winter', i've only heard the live version of course but it was ace!
and yeah, 'black november' is also pretty good, for an instrumental at least.

If you think about it, Wilder is quite wintery with the "could I get much colder" lines... I know it's not exactly literal, but it always makes me think of snow...
God, I've just remembered what a great song that is. Going to have to go & listen to it (instead of the hoovering which I should be doing!) _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |
