I'll be listening to the new Manics album. Old stuff is better than new stuff. Manics is better than Horrors. Steve McMahon is better than Steven Gerrard. Cholera is better than Swine Flu. Cash For Questions is better than expense fiddling. Old is where its at.

Tune of the day is the Keyboard Cat music which has replaced the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album as the thing which fills my head when I'm not thinking about Fernando Torres or what I'm going to eat next.

Passion Pit - Folds in your hands. I think this year could be the best ever for music,

I really like the new Manics album, even the one which Nicky Wire sings is good.

Me too!

Speaking of old Albini-produced farts, the new Jarvis Cocker one is okay too.

You would have though 4 people recommending it might persuade you to give it just the one listen?

ToTD: Twisterella by Ride, which I've now herad about 200 times since getting Spotify last week.

My new favourite band is The Hold Steady. I can't believe I've missed out on them fro 5 years or so.....

Tune of the day is Bloodflowers by The Cure. 9 years later I've realised what a great album it is.

the whole of the longcuts open hearts album. fuck its been worth the wait and glad they've got a producer who doesn't fuck around with their sound.

hold steady - be warned that if you go see them live you'll be in for a very very very very very long set. but boys n girls in america was/is worth the wait!
