Never in all my 37 years has there been such a pile of shite to vote for.

I have to vote though so will probably be a local independant.

Gordon Brown scuppered his outside chance of receiving my vote when he likened the economy to Wayne Rooney.

well until we get PR then 'tis difficult to get really motivated to vote - its such a negative campaign they are all running. its either cheap unfunny jibes at each other or the county's fucked so the public will just have to accept their lives are going to get shite as a result. there's no hope. no-one addressing the public transport/over use of private transport issue which is really fucking easy to address (i'll explain my piss easy solution down the pub if yer ever bump into me) or properly addressing the legitimate tax fixing massive enterprises like *allegedly* tesco or actually just doing a fairer taxastion system for all or for taking full ownership of the banks that turned the country over and using their profits to clear the nations debts etc etc fucking etc...

anyway...

a small part of me may vote shiteLabour for the first time since '97 simply for being less shite than the other shites and 'cos i actually think they'll steadily fuck the public over whereas the other 2 - particularly clegg, ffs how did the liberals end up with such a right wing twat of a cunt (yes i did type that) as leader? - will really fuck the country up by doing to many cutbacks to soon.

however if i go with my head and beliefs its either Green Party or Trade Unionist & Socialist Party (though i do wish the lefties would stick with one party rather than constantly name changing etc!).

pissed off with the coverage already. i know there's some decent hardworking journos but them ones in live news have such an easy month ahead of them... just talking shite about politicians saying shite. and wtf did so many broadcast live outside 10 downing street on tuesday late evening? we all know what a front door looks like so why piss money up the wall doing that?

off to lie down now....

then off to see my team get relegated at watford tomorrow. which explains my grumpiness!

Anyone watch the "big" debate last night?

All three of them are going to steadily fuck the public over. in fact, all three have been doing for years already, regardless of who's in charge. At least the Libs have tried to spell out a little of how they are going to fuck us in their manifesto, rather than saying buying less paper clips will fund the Pensions hole.

Also. DAMN! I hate ITV.

I have watched so much election coverage on TV recently it's made my mind ache. I'm glad the leaders debates have stirred up some interest in politics, and glad the Lib Dems have (possibly) made up so much ground so next time round at least we might have three real choices.

Unfortunately of course, we're not voting for the three leaders, we're voting for our local MPs and I realised yesterday that I don't really know the first thing about mine! Oops!

I need only see pictures of Prescott and Powell (and my own total careerist mp Kerry Mc) to see why i won't mourn the passing of labour on thursday. The sad thing is that cameron + osborne will drag the country not just back into recession but down further + further into the shite that we're gonna have a dreadful decade. These etonian domiciles will govern for the benefit of non-domiciles, doing fuck all to repair any of the damage they reap.

And whilst Blair must be remembered first and foremost for iraq, and Brown for being far to single minded and in bed with large industry (despite their sudden rekindled love for the tories) the fact is they deserve credit for like the minimum wage and overdue investment in the nhs & inner cities.

The Tories were dreadful for the city i grew up in (incredibly watching it collapse and having to live with the awful fact that whilst my constituency of Plymouth Devonport never went blue the rest of the region remained steadfastly tory 'til '97) is a lot lot better now. I still get depressed by the state of ham green but the city has picked up over the last few years as have many of the UKs others - the tories will cease this progress, they've only ever given a fuck about 5% of the electorate and only ever will.

So in this last w/e before absolute twatdom rules again I will raise a wee glass to some of labours positive contributions over the last few years. Sure they were bastards, but they were our bastards.

Oh and I'm voting Green by the way.

Labour deserve credit for Sure Start Centre's, The Minimum wage, and throwing money at the nhs (although it went mostly to shiny buildings and middle managers)

However, they also destroyed the chance of people like me making it to Uni, unless you want to be paying off a lifetime debt while saving for the 25% deposit on the two lives of debt that is now a first time buyers home. I mean, fuck me, even the Tories gave me a grant and free tuition fee's. They also told us The Firefighters were holding the country to ransom and then gave themselves a massive payrise after getting back into the power. And then they went to Iraq!

Fuck 'em. Today's result show's just how little people think of the alternative too. If you can't get a majority after the last 3 years of Gordon Brown, you should know people don't want you around either.

fuck 'em indeed. fuck 'em all. 'tis amazing that we're all told everthing has to be cut back, everything has to be paid for... Two horrible things to show how low its got. Reagan's adminstration/govt put over 800 people inside for their part in the loan scandals etc of the 80s in the USA, and income tax threshold is 4% lower than it was during Twatchers (cheap jibe but that's all she's worth) reign. Labour could easily have done more with the bankers, they could easily have had a fair base tax system, two things that may well have kept most of us on board and a fairer tax could well have allowed more people to get free higher education.

I also think these two things show that the political system in both here and the States is seriously fucked. Its all about seeing to be caring, being slightly concerned about living standards but to appease big industry, the right wing media and the financial sectors actually doing very little about anything. Obama's health bill is nothing like what was proposed, Labour made far to many concessions to the finance sector (watered down regulation - naturally opposed en masse by the tories who naturally said there should be no regulation at all - was nothing like as strong as they'd suggested eventually allowing the crisis we're paying for)... when it matters they won't deliver proper progress.

I just hope Clegg doesn't bottle things this week and holds out for PR. Not in 5 years but now. The cuntservatives (yep another cheap jibe) spent a campaign banging on about change - yeah change the schooling system so industry can run it for example - yet when it comes to changing an outdated immoral and undemocratic election system that's been the same for centuires. No change at all. But then this is the party that opposed the working class getting the vote, women getting the vote... they haven't really changed at all. Such a fucking shame then that labour moved toward their politics and have lost the election precisely because of that.
