Sorry but out of the 27 how may have been given to them by dodgy refs and Agnelli's deep pockets?

Not that i'm getting at you, but I've just read Tim Parks - A Season with Verona and his accounts of the anti-Juve feeling that permiates Italy are pretty persuasive (a penalty in injury time of injury time I ask you).

Anyway I think Atalanta and Bologna are far cooler - any clubs that retort to the Lazio hoolies with a big Che banner are alright with me.

What the hell? It's not about coolness, it's about love and passion.

The reasoning that Juve get more benefitial refereering decisions than other teams is a myth . If you study statistics you will instead realize that the bigger teams generally have more dodgy decision to their favor than smaller teams, however, this is not restricted to Juventus alone. In fact, statistics also prove that Manu for example are much more favorised by referees than any other Italian team.
To suggest Juventus have been handed titles is outrages when their main opponents to the title have been teams like Milan and Inter, both pretty lucky in the referee area.

I recall Juve losing out on a Scudetto because they were forced to play in a flooded condition, a game that would've been stopped for nearly any other team and any other time. But it was the last round, title race and Lazio had basically scared every referee in the country to judge anything Juve's way, justified or not.

While I do realize the Juve hotshots play it foul sometimes they're not exactly in a clean cut business with saintlike competitors facing them. And despite what you say, this year's team, like most years, was filled with good players and good tactics.
Now go rain on someone else's parade!

Although in the run in that season did not Juve see a perfectly late, legitimate equaliser by Parma disallowed (yeah, I know luck and dodgy ref-ing decisions not withstanding) and it could be argued that they had 45 minutes (in the gale and flood - saw a brilliant pic of Collina inspecting the pitch at half time with an umbrella that was serving no practical purpose) to score the goal that would have given them the title against Perugia or Brescia or whatever mid table team they were playing.

And yes, the last succesful penalty at Old Trafford was scored 10 (Ten in vidi-printer speak) seasons ago, although 2 or 3 have missed since.

So yeah of course go ahead and enjoy and glory in the moment - fuck knows what it's like to celebrate 27 championship victories let alone one (or even the joy of promotion to the top flight) it's all relative and let me wish you and your boys all the luck in the world tomorrow against Real and against whichever Milan club gets to the final (though the conspiratory theorists may believe that an all Italian final will not happen).

It is also true that Del Piero is the world's sexiest footballer (with looks and skill) though injuries may have sidelined him recently - he is still one of the most useful players in ISS Evolution 2 where he has a fantastic dribble and long range shot ability.

Enjoy the summer for the pain and heartache and joy and celebration and nailbiting all comes around again soon...

Thank you, each one feels as incredible as the last, it's an undescribeble joy!

P.S. I know they had 45 minutes to score but they were the team whose style of playing was hurt more from a rainy field. And let's not forget psychological pressure.

ah... i haven't really watched champions league for years. that damned league is destroying the fine game of football! all the money from advertisements and tv companies go to the biggest clubs only - uefa can only blame itself now when the current situation of european football is what it is... that's pretty crap. my favourite team barnsley played in the premier league for one season 7 years ago. now they're in second division still in administration - they can't sell their players and no one's interested in buying the club. the situation is the same for many other lower division team, unfortunately. the gap between premier league and the other divisions is getting bigger and bigger all the time - soon there will be no turning back anymore.
i've already seen a football match played on blue grass. but i will stop watching footie the day when they start to draw advertisements on the grass just like in ice hockey games. (well they have the ads on ice in the ice hockey games of course, not on grass...)
i feel sad because i really love football. Sad

anyway setareh, i didn't mean to spoil all your fun... i hope you enjoyed the match last night, i'm so tired of seeing the same clubs playing every week so i didn't even watch the game. good luck for the finals, even though for me it's the same who wins.
instead of watching the champions league final (next week?) i could go to watch my local favourite team salpa here in finland, they play in the second division but sometimes it's much more interesting to watch than a big match in some euro cup competition.

yeah yeah, i know i shouldn't post anything when i'm this annoyed. Confused

Hhhmmm...is this the 'we can't allow you fun' board? Silly puppies. All of this is true, I am also aware of what type of a club Juventus is, but love is love, tell me I was fooled by commercialisation at 10 to fall in love with Juventus and it's just not true.
Supporting a football team is like a real (non modern) marriage, until death do you part.

Yes, the CL is fucked up (and football in general), too commercial and not even about the champions anymore, as Milan are proving. But in Juve's defence, they were champions of their league.
I shall watch the final and I shall die of joy if Juve wins and be miserable if they don't.

Something's wrong when I've had to defend richies twice in a week, I'm really not like that!
And I don't know who's tune to dance to anymore really, one moment I talk serious and people call me too serious and political, the next I go 'fun' and I'm pointed out loads of political aspects of things...(this isn't an attack on you, just saying...)

Ah... I thought that you would find my post offensive! Confused I'm sorry if you did, because I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else (except for UEFA - "we care about football")
Have fun Setareh and enjoy the victory... Rolling Eyes

And yes, I also know what it is like to love a football club. Rolling Eyes
My beloved Barnsley played in the Premier League 7 years ago, they've only won the FA cup once and that was 81 years ago! They are collecting donations from fans to save the future of the club. I went to see them in England two times last year and donated some money to them even though they are playing in Division Two and almost got relegated, and most of the players don't even really care...
...still, they're my beloved Barnsley FC and I will never ever stop loving them! It's a funny game... Shocked

Ï wasn't offended don't worry T, I just got tired of you all being critical everytime I enjoyed a Juve victory.
Best of luck with Barnsley, unless they play Juve, IFK or Villa. L&P
