just registered
corporationman.com
for the next 5 years. and no, i'm not just being a complete nerd. i have very cool plans fer this site. just you wait. of course, naturally if bravecaptain objects to the use of the name all bets are off.
it'll take a while, still lots of planning/programming to be done.
and maybe the idea won't matter so much outside of the US of A. but i'm working on a reference site to enable people to 'vote' with their purchases/dollars instead of/in addition to their ballot voting.
anyone/everyone let me know if the choice of domain name is inappropriate. and if you happen to be a nasty programmer with anti-consumerist leanings and some time on your hands, shoot me an email and my people will contact your people....
PS - and yes, fucktheman.com was already taken... _________________ "Even I know the solution: love, music, wine and revolution..." (magnetic fields)

good job... corporationman.com sounds really cool actually.
is it expensive to register those names? i've been thinking of making a boo radleys / bravecaptain related website as well... and i wouldn't like it to be on geocities or something like that.
i wish i could help you somehow, but i'm not a nasty programmer and i'm a busy man _________________

ta ha! you live within the peachy keen confines of socialism!
well, i registered the name from register.com for 99 USD for 5 years due to some sort of special they're having.
but that's just for the actual name. not the server space or bandwidth. that URL will shoot you over to wherever i have my actual web-pages/files stored. and well, there are no webpages yet, so you see nothing if you type it in yer browser, see?
perspective: i figured that corporationman.com would serve as a decent tribute. November 2002 US general (ie. non-presidential) elections - I was sick as a dog with some sort of feverous flu, and i was registered to vote in the city, but living in the boondocks with my parents. (we don't have same-day voter registration here, and even though I had re-registered when I got my drivers' license renewed, the paperwork hadn't gone through yet). well, yer ol' friend Cranes was all set to give up and be disenfrachised when i happened to throw in the new bravecaptain CD in my CD player. When i heard 'Stand Up and Fight' I got all sorts of angry and riled up, and I guilt-tripped my father into driving me into the city. got there about a half hour before polls closed and voted for a bunch of liberal candidates I knew hadn't a shot in hell of getting elected. |
