I'm not going to recite the lyrics (it mostly sung through one of those vocoder thingies).... but Johan Cruyff, the world's greatest ever footballer is namechecked in there. |

Actually he was mentioned in "Smokin". First track on the Ice Hockey Hair EP.

Ice Hockey Hair is the best SFA song ever..... I never really got into their first album, but then Ice Hockey came out and I saw them do a fucking storming headline slot on the second stage at Reading 98 and I've loooooooooooooooooooooooooved them ever since

I spent a sleepless night wondering if I'd got that wrong, then got up, listened to it half a dozen times, was none the wiser and extremely pissed off cos I had to be up at 5am.
Thanks for the confirmation (or should that be correction) and sorry to all for spreading mis-informtion. |

the furries are fucking ace - ice hockey hair is better than smokin which is a bit dull by their standars. top notch sleeve too, agree with that.
forgot to put
St Etienne - Kiss & Make Up (which has to be one of the best cover verisons of all time) and I Was Born On Christmas Day
on the list. Great singles too. |

Good fucking call!
- at this point i'm going to have to cite all those belle and sebastian singles, even though i know they're intentionally left off the records for nostalgic flair. marketing is marketing, right? _________________ "Even I know the solution: love, music, wine and revolution..." (magnetic fields)

I don't beleive Car Wash Hair was on album until they rereleased it.
Forever Delayed, Suicide Painless by Manics.
Plus Music is My Radar was on a 'best of' but not a
real
album....
