I would have voted "None of the above" if it had been one of the options, but now I was forced to vote for Radiohead. _________________

i voted for radiohead. I really kind of like the new album. but i'm not sure. it's a bit all over the place. if you know what i mean. i can't seem to get on with "we suck young blood". but really like "go to sleep" and "where i end.....". and i like singing along to "the gloaming". actually i like singing along to it all. except "wolf at the door". which has a really high bit at the end. which i can sometimes reach. when i am taking valerian. for my anxiety. but i can't sustain it.
i need sustain

Can anyone else satd this Darkness bollocks?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Hail To The Thief all the way out of the choices, but AFM kicks it's arse all over Town then slaps it upside the chops before sending on it's ways.

Well, to even get shortlisted don't you have to nominate your record/ get your record company to do it? I believe this costs in the region of several thousand pounds, plus all the accompanying promo you have to do to get the judges on your side pushes it up even more - all money I'm sure all those involved in bravecaptain felt better being spent elsewhere (or on the dell 'help'line), if they got it at all.
Which is why all of the bands who get nominated for mercury and then slag it, saying what a farce it is and how they'd be embarrased to win it (hey albarn, that's you), are complete twats who shouldn't be trusted in the slightest. if you've got the funds (and major label friends) behind you, it's no doubt worth a push since it automatically adds however many sales just being shortlisted - unfortunately the only 'indy' bands in that position are pisspoor ones like athlete which is why you always get the most bizarre 'indy' bands shortlisted.

Out of all the above, from what I've heard Dizee Rascal's stuff is the most original and is pushing things forward. If Coldplay or Radiohead win it, that will mean it's a dead award that nobody should pay any heed to. If they were going to give it to the Head it should have been for OKC or Kid A. The boat has left the port at this stage.
Go Dizee! _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons

I think we already know it's a dead award to which we should pay no heed

I picked at random (the same method the prize judges use year after year) and ended up with Martina Topless-Bird.

Random thought: Isn't "Floetry" such a wonderful name?

If no one cares, why are we talking about it?
Anyway, I don't care.
