Wow, there was a lot of anger in that post. I think they're crap as well but its not as though they're selling loads of records. In a few months they will be gone and no-one will remember them. |

I loved The Vines first album
but on the whole yes, NME sucks big donkey cock and for that exact reason I haven't bought it for 5 years.
btw, how easy on the ears is this new Square pusher album? For instance, if I think Aphex Twin: Druqs is an unlistenable pile of shite, would I like Squarepusher? _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Thanks for that. Was asking because I was starting to consider buying it with me next paycheque. I'll d/l it and give it a try _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

NME is crap but I still buy it. Every few months there'll be a review of something which I've not heard of and wouldn't have bought otherwise e.g. M83 last year and Metro Area the year before. I'm surprised no-one has come out with another weekly music mag in the past couple of years. Perhaps people are more are interested in buying Nuts and Zoo style magazines rather than reading about music.
The only two albums I've ever taken back to the store to get a refund cos I hated them were Go Plastic by Squarepusher and The Datsuns debut album. |

I think I just took the Squarepusher album back cos I bought it on a day when I had a hangover and it ain't good hangover music.
Good hangover tunes include: Badhead by Blur, And Night Falls Over Hoboken by Yo La Tengo and anything off Dusty in Memphis. |
