I think that Kingsize is possibly the finest record ever made. But Free Huey? no matter how hard i try i stilll find this track unlistenable. It just souunds totally tuneless to me. It should never have been a single as it is totally unrepresentative of the entire album. (Comb your Hair would have been my choice) In fact it is probably the only song by martin and the boos that I have ever disliked am I alone with this opinion? |

I love Free Huey and think it’s a fantastic song, upbeat and exciting. I was really pleased that they'd come back with something different. It was a pity that it didn't sell well but to be honest I think no matter what the Boo's had released at that point it wouldn't have charted. |

I love Free Huey. Maybe the ending goes on for 30-40 seconds too long, but apart from that I think it's got some of the greatest imagination, lyrics and singing of any Boo's song.
Also, IMHO, Comb Your Hair wouldn't have been very indicative of the albu, as it's by far the safest, Martin By Numbers tune on there.

I love Free Huey. Great single, great track on the album, great B-sides too.
Kingsize would have been my choice of single.
BTW, does anyone know if The Rasmus (who are currently all over the MTV channels with the song "In The Shadows") are the same Rasmus who remixed Free Huey on the Kingsize/Superintendent CD?

No, they're not the same Rasmus. (well I don't think so)
The Rasmus is a Finnish band, and I don't believe they could have done anything that good. _________________

Okeydokey. I just read somewhere that the Finnish "The Rasmus" changed their name from just "Rasmus" sometime in the late 1990s and thought it might be them.
"In The Shadows" is growing on me though. Please hit me with something to make me change my mind!

The Rasmus that remixed Free Huey must have been
Rasmus the Swedish techno artist
(who I believe was the reason the Finnish Rasmus had to add that stupid article to their already stupid name...).
By the way, I did see Rasmus (the Finnish band that hadn't added the article to their name yet...) at a festival in 1996 when they were about 16 years old. I also remember seeing their first EP in the local shops, too bad I didn't have the sense to buy it, it could probably fetch a nice sum now. (The EP came with a lollipop, how cute!) |

Maybe there are other artists called Rasmus as well... ?
Perhaps brave clart Martin could enlighten us and tell us the truth?! _________________
