cerys matthews: no ta. cock-a-hoop was too "i wanna be country but i don't have a country bone in my body. like white people who want to do soul. it just don't work" type thing.

i'll reiterate for huw. the vines are incredible. very much so. yes.

also. on the subject of welsh music, w/ these allegations that the manics are to split (who seem to be suffering the sick dog syndrome - as much as you love it, you still don't want to see it continue in agony, so naturally, you get it morphined out of existence - lucky dog) which probably leaves only 2 or 3 decent welsh bands. lostprophets, obviously.

Go out and buy "1" by Simple Kid if you haven't already got it. Best album of last year.

Regarding The Vines new album....... In 2002 I saw them at The Leadmill and Glastonbury, and d/l their album, then bought it. I really really fucking loved that album.

So while yes, Winning Days is rather good, it's still massively disappointing for me compared to Highly Evolved Confused

I, I´m so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
Is all right with me
´Cause you make me feel so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

Since, since we´ve been together
Loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me be the one you come running to
I´ll never be untrue

Let´s, let´s stay together
Lovin´ you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

Why, why some people break up
Then turn around and make up
I just can´t see
You´d never do that to me (would you, baby)
Staying around you is all I see
(Here´s what I want us to do)

Let´s, we oughta stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Let´s, we oughta stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

why have mcdonald's when you can have roast beef?
