Mine was Lazy Day, on Hit the North, Mark and Lards programme on Radio 5, about 91/92. |

I remember 'Hit The North', it was such a funny show. Mark and Lard lost it when they went to the daytime but their late night shows were brilliant. Hopefully Mark Radcliffes new Radio 2 show will be a return to former glories.
Can't remember what the first Boo's song I heard, it was probably Lazarus on the Evening Session. |

Barney & Me - on Mark & Lards night time Radio one slot sometime in 93 _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

sadly I think it must have been that advert for Virgin radio - Wake Up wasn't it? There's a fat boy dancing and the caption was something like 'listen to virgin or next time he's naked'.
After that (a long time after that!), I bought a copy of Boo Forever from Oxfam cos I was just getting to know Che and all his email addresses were from Boos songs, so I thought I'd see why he liked them. Then when I saw Kingsize for £2.99 in the sale at Tower I jumped at it. And never looked back... |

That Donkey Kong Country thing is very bizarre, who else was on the CD?
The first time I took any notice of the Boo Radleys was when Giant Steps was 'Album of The Year' in Select. I don't remember people making a big fuss about it when it first came out but by the end of the year everyone loved it. So then I bought it and I loved it as well. |

Bizarre indeed, and it's still one of my fave compilation CD's ever!
1. Primal Scream - Rocks
2. Oasis - Digsy's Dinner
3. St. Etienne - Hug My Soul
4. Radiohead - Creep
5. Terrorvision - Oblivion
6. The Boo Radleys - Leaves And Sand
7. Pop Will Eat Itself - Everything's Cool
8. Ride - Birdman
But it wasn't until Wake Up Boo came out that I actually bought something by the Radleys. _________________ "It's too beautiful to stay inside..." |

The big monkey really knew his 90's indie music didn't he. Please tell me the front cover of the CD was a picture of Thom Yorke and Liam Gallagher standing next to Donkey Kong. |

I remember hearing the Boos on the radio ages before I knew anything about them. They were saying something about people bringing copies of "To Kill A Mockingbird" to gigss, which is all I can remember.
First song I was really aware of as being them was Wake Up Boo, on the stength of which I bought Wake Up! |

Unfortunately it wasn't...
But please let me use Paint to make it so!

Lazy Day on a Selec Compilation tape.
It grabbed hold of me, spun me round the room, flung me out of the window and I ended up in heap in the back garden thinking "What the fuck was that!" It was an adrenaline rush of a song that leaves you wanting MORE.
FAO Tommy,
It's ripped, working properly now and awaiting dispatch! _________________ We would like to announce that due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off..... |
