1. HE IS TOTALLY NUTS.

You're absolutely right about all those Ken mate. But how can I wait for another three weeks now after hearing those clips?
The two clips of 'All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace' together sound pretty much like the best thing that Brave Captain has ever released!

'Toytown Is A Drag' clip sounds great as well, but it's difficult to say if the actual song is much better because one minute is much too short for this.

'Bad Bone' ... I'm sure that's not some fucking hoover, you're just all trying to fool me! Rolling Eyes

'Chance For The Moment' isn't bad either, and I'm sure that the whole song isn't like the same all the time.

Now I really can't wait for the new EP and the new album!! I think this is going to be a good summer after all!

(by the way Sparky, funny links...) Smile

1) he's got more CDs and books than God.
2) Has a lovely girlfriend.
3) That hat really could use a washing.
4) occasionally likes a drink- just to level the playing field, you understand.
5) cooks a mean kipper.

Fact 6: He owes me £5 and 10 Bensons!

And he's never given back my limited edition green vinyl of Green Door by the god that is Shakey.

a kipper is a flightless fish.

i don't think someone whose undies melted our washing machine should pass comment on the odorous qualities of my headgear.

i went to see 'fog of war' at the piccies the other night, it was ace.
i went to see richard gorky's first solo gig last night, it was ace.

anyone know how to tie two laptops together so they both say the same thing at the same time?

that is all

If you want it for music, then i suggest using VST System Link with Cubase SX. I believe it is Chapter 28 in the Cubase Manual. Be warned, latency delay might shoot thru the roof! If you want it for something else, i recommend speaking to someone who knows about ethernets and other such kerayzee stuff.

Hope that's of some use, Martin.

Hmm, that's tricky. Sorry about the (possibly) boring guff below...

Firstly, the second soundcard/keyboard/mixer doesn't seem to have an SPDIF in, which would bugger up the VST System Link as you need ins and outs on both soundcards.
Secondly, the only way i know to go from Cubase to Ableton is using Ableton as a Rewire slave (Chapter 32 in CubaseSX Manual and Chapter 2.15 in the Ableton Live 3 Manual). But it locks the tempo to Cubase, which defeats the point of Live really. Maybe they'll change it in v4.0

S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital InterFace) cables can come with normal audio connectors or "optical" connectors (which, confusingly, have absolutely nothing to do with video), the Cubase Manual doesn't explain that, which is why it's all so bloody confusing.

Could you let me know more precisely what it is you want to do? There might be a way to do it that you haven't considered, involving different hardware/software.
