Right dudes, i liked the mix thing and think we should do more of them. i had a plan to learn how to do it properly but that simply didn't happen so I've resorted to the old tactic of just getting bits of songs I like and putting them together into one bumper mp3 file which can be downloaded from
here
And as an added bonus I also did a front cover but that kind of went wrong as well:
So all in all it wasn't a total success but like the kid who no-one liked at school I think I should be insincerely congratulated for trying hard. When I get back off holiday I have made a resolution to learn to do how to do this kind of thing and make my DJ-ing skills more Kool Herc and less Alan Partridge. |

Dear Mr Mc
I have little to no excuse for not downloading this. I'll have a listen to night.
Kind Regards

I'm going to keep on trying, but with my newly in place strict quality control it could be quite a while before you see a decent result

Maybe that explains the lack of success then. its odd cos i was able to download it yesterday. it's too late and i'm too drunk to sort it out now though, will try to sort out tomorrow though. I realise I've just admitted to downloading my own mix there, that's not cool is it. |

Damn. It appears to work just fine from work, where I'm not allowed to download it
I'll try again tonight.

John, do you know if your mix ever got fixed? I've not tried again yet, but hopefully will tonight.

Awww man I can't believe i went without that for 5 months!
Very tight and disciplined and some great tunes that I've never heard before. I've started and binned about ten attempts this year trying to sound as good as this!
You have a tracklisting fella?

Ta. The tracklisting is:
1 When You Wasn't Famous (Professor Green Mix) - The Streets
2 New York City Fuck Off - Matson Jones
3 I Love New York - Madonna
4 Just Like We Breakdown (DFA Mix) - Hot Chip
5 Back Like That - Ghostface featuring Ne Yo
6 One Thing - Clipse
7 Righteously - Lucinda Williams
8 No Sex - Green Velvet
9 Underwear Goes Inside The Pants - Lazy Boy
Originally it was going to be just songs about New York. But, like the Beatles with Sgt. Pepper, I abandoned the idea of sticking to one concept after a couple of songs.
I put the Ghostface one on cos I thought it was brilliant and was sure that if they'd released it as a single it would be massive. They then did and it wasn't.
That Lazy Boy track was on the radio all the time in Australia. Bizarrely it's by a bloke who used to be in Aqua, they released it over here last month and it got in the top 40.
