What did you think of the first Vines album? Apart from the singles I didn't think it was very good at all.

They're good live. Craig Nichols comes across as being a bit of a dick though.

Seeing them live at The Leadmill in 2002 just before the album came out is one of the best things I have ever seen.

As was Glastonbury a shortwhile later where Craig managed to slice his hand open halfway through Fuck The World.

The albums not bad, in fact the songs Ride & Winning Days are fucking ace! It's just not a patch on Highly Evolved.

CD:UK was great the other day though Wink

Isn't a lot of the new album just stuff they had left over from Highly Evolved? Sunchild's on there and they've already released that’s as a B-side. That’s just lazy.

Have we already had a 'The Best Concert I've Ever Been To' thread?

Apparently the song Winning Days goes back as far as 1999. I'm not a songwriter but I'd be inclined to think if a song takes along time to get right it shouldn't matter when it gets released. I know some of the Hail To The Thief material was knocking around on the OK Computer tour....

As for the best gig thread......I'm not entirely sure!

I don't think so John.
Why don't you start one then? Wink
