i bought "deep, down & dirty" by stereo mc's - someone had recommended the band to me before and i saw the album for really cheap so i bought it. i listened to it and god it was so crap... it's now hidden in my desk drawer so that no one could see it. i'm too embarrased to sell it to any of my friends as well... Shocked

now you know my darkest secret... for that, you'll have to die! Twisted Evil
nah... i love you people, just don't tell my friends please.

REO Speedwagon, "High Infidelity"... I had a few beers in the afternoon and staggered upon a used copy on vinyl on my way home (cost me about $2, so no biggie). Somehow the idea of going home and singing along to "Take It On The Run" really appealed to me at the time... Embarassed

a couple of summers ago i was going through a rough patch and i became obsessed with that cleopatra song, life ain't easy. i don't know why, something about these three little girls from manchester singing a quirky novelty pop hit about how it is just to walk down the street without feeling sick to the back of your heart really appealed to me.

i since realised it was a shit, contrived, compassion-free marketing stunt. still find myself humming it from time to time though.

I think I shall knock you all out! I agree with Kinkster, Tommy's confessions are lightweight, not dark secrets at all.

Mine: "Middle Of Nowhere", Hanson's debut. My excuse: It was cheap, I was in London on vacation and had a crazy moment...there are some serious silly numbers on there.

I don't like to mention it too often, but I also own all four albums by Ace Of Base. In fact, their 2nd album "The Bridge" is an absolute masterpiece! Shocked

And if this post was titled "Most embarrassing record you've ever had bought FOR you", I think I would take the lead with "Psyche" - the debut album by "PJ and Duncan" now lovingly known by the nation as TV's Ant and Dec. Embarassed

Well as long as you like them, that's okay. I have an album (on tape) by Erasure and I still listen to it every now and again for nostalgic value.
