It’s a brilliant film, loads better than Adaptation and gets a big John Mc thumbs up.

I thought it was rubbish. Really pointless and boring. I thought Carey did a good job but found the whole film a bit of an ordeal. Really trippy. Plus I had a sweaty back all the way through which didn't exactly help.

Monster - Now there's a good film for you.

yeah i agree, there're too many tricksy bits and not enough real humanity in kaufmann's scripts. It all gets a bit boooring. But there are a few mega bits, like especially scene where he gets bullied all over again by the five year old kids.
~Otherwise not great

i saw it today, i liked it, but wish there was more of a script.

The bit where he went back to his youth, moved me for some reason, probably those damn pianos. or probably because i'm a wreck.
one or the other.

funny cos i thought the middle third where he goes back to being a kid dragged a bit and was a bit too similar to some of the bits from adaptation and being john malkovich, but loved the beginning and end of the film.
I though it was an ace film, not often you see a film about relationships that is original and really makes you think about stuff. it's the ultimate break-up movie.
i loved jim carrey not pulling faces and being a low-key normal bloke and kate winslet was really not annoying at all when she should have been playing a kooky american. and i especially loved beck's cover of 'everybody's gotta learn sometime' - one of those beautiful moments when great cinema and great music combine.
