|
|
So there's a new EP coming out next Monday... in less than a week.
Excellent.
So will we be able to buy a proper EP on CD with artwork and everything that would then be posted to us (e.g. I Am A Lion limited edition EP), or would we pay for the MP3 and artwork download, and we do the printing and copying on CD (e.g. Mary Mary/Luck With Mary Jane EP)?
What different payment methods there will be?
The tour should be good too... Shame it's too early for me though, I could probably see bravecaptain on those festivals though, but I really have no idea yet.
The 60-second clip of 'All Watched Over By The Machines Of Loving Grace' sounds ace! I can recognise two of the loops in it.
And now we know the release date too - I'm quite a happy bunny at the moment!
Cheers Clartin! _________________

I'm extremely chuffed to see he's playing the Spitz, and easy venue for me to get to. Pondering other venues I could get to...nice set of titles for the album, the Manics news page has a list of very embarrassing titles for their upcoming album, nice to see some more promising titles...I mean, who'd write a song called 'Voodoo Polaroids'? |

There's still 3 hours left of Monday...
I need to steal someone's credit card tomorrow. _________________

Mmmm, doesn't look like the EP's going to be on here tonight. Perhaps Sparky has finally escaped from BC's basement. When I log in here tomorrow I expect to find a website dedicated to exposing the sordid truth about Martin Carr. |

Martin hasn't posted for a couple of days either...
... maybe he's been away from home and he forgot to feed Sparky. _________________

I can wait until the 28th.... shame I wont have the tuinbes on the journey to Glasto, but on the bright side I will get back just as they are unveiled, completing what's sure to be a great weekend!
The clips sound
incredbile!
A hoover on lead vocals? Genius!

The best things come to the those who wait. I really like the artwork for "Advertisements..." and "Better Living..." so its cool that the new stuff will be done by the same designer.
Does anyone know if there's a big difference between the low and high quality MP3's? Its not the money I'm worried about (an additional 30p is nothing to me, thats how rich I am) but it takes forever to download stuff on my computer. |

It's the difference between me downloading them at home or at work _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

the 192kps mp3s are very high quality, but we made 320kps versions available because when we did the 'i am a lion' ep a few people emailed in asking if they could get hold of them (which is partly why we ended up doing the limited cd version of that release).
320kps is pretty much indistinguishable from cd quality in pepsi challenge type tests, but of course uses more bandwidth so we have to charge slightly more.
the shop explains about download times, but for a 4min track you're looking at 12mins for a 192kps file (or if you have broadband less than a minute), or 22 mins for a 320kps file (or less than 2 mins on broadband).
in both cases you can make out what he is saying. |

Thanks Sparky, and one more thing while you're here, if I change my email address in my profile will change it in the mailing list as well? |
