I've been hearing good things about a new band called The Open. Not heard 'em yet though. Does anyone have any views on them?

Depending on how you view the singer's voice, Hope Of The States are either amazing or very irritating.

I love em, but my girlfriend hates them

Not sure if it's 2004, but I could add Slow Life by Super Furry Animals there. Fookin' amazing!
Motherfokker isn't too bad either.

I do love Slow Life (favourite song of that album) and motherfokker

talking of GLC collaborations you ever hear SPARK YOU by Kidz with Toyz vs Eggsy and The Maggot???? Came out a couple of months ago but only on white label . I got a rubbish mp3 someone recorded off the radio of it and it's tidy.

The best two songs this year are 'Weaponized' by Brave Captain and 'Blinded By The Lights' by The Streets.

the new 22-20's single "22 days" is fuckin' blindin', kids.

however, avoid the new fatboy slim single as it's shockingly bad.

Fatboy Slims cover version of 'The Joker' is on the radio all the time over here. Its truly appalling but is obviously going to sell zillions of copies.

I am going to see Hope Of the States tonight and am very excited. It is still one of my favourite albums of the year.

manics - a song for departure
razor babes - come on baby
hope of the states - the red the white the black the blue
bravecaptain - weaponize
the libertines - the whole lp except 'don't be shy' + 'what became of the likely lads'
oh. this is difficult. i'll finish this later, when i've had a good scour thru the collection
