The Radio Department have a great fresh sound. Their classic indie pop sound compares to that of the Boo Radley[s]. These guys are gonna be huge.

I overheard a conversation the other week before a gig by U.S. band, The Lilys (who I wasn't there for), between the singer and [a.n. other], and they were talking about influences. The promotion for the gig had compared them to Spiritualized, but the singer from The Lilys was in disagreement when asked about that, and he said something like, "If anything, we're more like The Boo Radleys."

has anyone heard anything by the radio dept? their album got a good review on teletext last week, and it mentioned the boos again. i think their swedish. have you heard of them setareh?

i would like to recommend "carnivalism" by former miss america. a nice collection of tuneful tunes and interesting electronic sounds in places.
