Has anyone heard the album? Is it any good?

i got the single "ringing in my ear" last week. haven't decided whether i like it yet. i'll let you know. if you care.

Of course I care. There's a track off the album free with Word magazine this month and I really like it.

i just meant that would my opinion of one song, or 3 songs including b-sides, be enough to make you decide whether or not to buy an album, given that you already know you like one song?

anyway, i will let you know what i think when i have listened to it more.

i've listened to the ringing in my ear single quite a few times now. i like it, and it's definitely grown on me, but i wouldn't say it's that great.

if you really like the song you've heard, john, it may be that it's just more your sort of thing than mine. i'm not about to buy the album of the strength of the single, but i might do if it continues to grow.

Is that the Adem who had the 'these are your friends' single? If so, I saw them a few months ago supporting someone else and I was really impressed - loads of nice tunes, relaxing and pretty songs.

i think so.

haven't heard anything apart from the single i bought, but the artwork for that is similar to that for these are your friends, so i guess it's safe to assume they are one and the same.

I got the album, its good but not brilliant. It's mainly acoustic stuff, I thought there'd be more electronic tomfoolery going on. Its like 'Sea Change' by Beck in as much as the songs are good but most of them are very similar so it becomes a bit dull.
