I think the game was pretty shite actually. Rolling Eyes
A well deserved win for Liverpool though, no doubt about that, but that's not what I call entertaining football. Well, I don't really know what entertaining football is since I support Barnsley, but I think I can imagine what it could be like. Or something. I don't know. Nevermind.

i'd say it's worth a quid at those odds.

tonight was very encouraging in places. good to see a team in red trying to play passing football. could be the end of didi hamann, now that alonso has shown that it possible to make a contribution in the other central midfield role.

alonso looked the best player on the pitch i thought, and, even tho he scored i reckon the jury is still out on cisse, if we are to only play the one up front i'd prefer baros every time, his goal was a cracker!

and if i'd have known about the empty seats i'd have been there too...
i haven't been there for tooo long now (work, money, laziness etc) - the last match i saw was against mypa-47 in uefa cup years ago, a police horse tried to kick me when i walked behind him, the big scary bugger.

and monday? us 3 united 0! yeah!

you're way too optimistic! expect the worst and you can't be (too) disappointed. i am pretty worried about this game, though not sure whether that's worrying about rooney debut goals or the prospect of going to old trafford on my own midweek. anyone wanna ticket?

Who will score for us against Man U now that Super Danny Murphy has gone? I'm also worried about the match I would love it if we beat them (that last bit should be read in a Kevin Keegan style). I'm in Australia now and the game kicks off at 5am here, so that will be the earliest I've ever arrived at a pub.

Dave W - if we you don't post here by Tuesday afternoon we'll assume you've been killed by a bunch of angry Mancs.

i don't think rooney is fit. or playing. that drugged up half-wit (franz) ferdinand is. unless he forgets and goes shopping instead.

thanks john, that's very reassuring!

maybe luis garcia can be the new danny murphy as well as the new smicer and litmanen and dalglish. no pressure then.

rooney's never been fit, but that hasn't stopped him playing.

I don't think we looked good at all, we hardly created any chances in the game. The only consolation is that they weren't much better. That’s the first game I've seen this season and possibly he's been playing better this year but didn't Harry Kewell used to run at people and beat them and do stuff? Its in games like that one today where he should be running with the ball, relieving the pressure on the defence and making a difference.

depression hangs heavy in the air.

kewell's a fucking waste of space. garcia was largely anonymous, when not rolling around on the floor. cisse didn't want to know. gerrard's crippled.

happy days are here again. Sad

the mancs were rubbish, but they're miles behind arsenal and chelsea, so that's meaningless.

Cisse needs to learn the offside rule and how to run around, having cool hair is sometimes not enough.

I can't believe I got up at 4.30am to watch that. It would have been nice if our players had been similarly awake when corners were being taken.
