So, once again I spent all my money and bought some new music CDs (and one vinyl)
Three of them are worth mentioning here because I remember people talking about them.

The Streets / A Grand Don't Come For Free
Oh well, what can I say. I was hoping that this album would be more exciting, but I found it a bit boring and repetitive. Also, Dry Your Eyes Becks is better than the original version on the album! Uh oh.

Echo & The Bunnymen / Flowers
I was a big fan of their 1999 album "What Are You Going To Do With Your Life?". (I checked out their older albums as well which are ace) Here are more nice little pop tunes on this album, but I don't think it's as good as "WAYGTDWYL?" or some of the older ones.

The Beta Band / The Beta Band (?)
Melz used to rave about this band all the time, so I decided to check them out and buy this album. Well, it's quite OK, but not that good. Perhaps their other albums are better, but after listening to this twice, I can't say it's anything too special. Not bad though.

The Beta Band's 1st 'album' is a compilation of their first three EPs...

Ah...
My apologies for that, Tommy. That one is the only Beta album I haven't got. Since it got bad reviews and even before its release the band said that they hated it, I decided not to get it. So... I guess I'm to blame for your purchasing that. Embarassed Sorry.

I do still heavily recommend their other albums though. "The Three EPs" is incredible and "Hot Shots 2" is well worth a listen.

Sorry about that. Sad

Obviously, that was me. Rolling Eyes

And the Streets album is the best concept album about losing money down the back of your telly that I've ever heard. Shocked

Hahaha, no worries Melzy! Smile
It was in the "bargain basket" anyway and it's not that bad really.
There's one thing that I don't understand though: if this album is a compilation of their first three EPs, how come I should buy the EPs then if I don't like this?! Rolling Eyes

By the way Melz, I sent you a private message ages ago, did you ever get it? I think it was about the SFA single.

Nah nah nah - "The Beta Band" is their 1st proper album which is... pedestrian. The 3 Eps is a comp of stuff before that which is... rollerskating.

No worries Melzy, there's no need to hurry.
I was just wondering if you ever got my message.
