Uncle Tommy should use less drugs.

Interesting, especially about the fire actually being useful by killing all the rats and possibly stopping the plague.
The book I'm reading at home says that the fire was started by a French man though, (possibly called Hubert?), in an arson attack, and that he was later hung for it at Tyburn (where Marble Arch now is). _________________ http://www.facebook.com/thelostcavalry

Actually, although my book does say that, it looks like it's wrong:
From Wikipedia:
"After the fire, a rumour began to circulate that the fire was part of a Catholic plot. A simple-minded French watchmaker named Robert "Lucky" Hubert, confessed to being an agent of the Pope and starting the fire in Westminster. He later changed his story to say that he had started it at the bakery in Pudding Lane. He was convicted, despite overwhelming evidence that he could not have started the fire, and was hanged at Tyburn."
So that's that then.
I love history!

Because this isn't a book, it's just a link to another website...
Perhaps someone should start a 'Safe as Educational Web Link' thread. _________________
