What does the DS stand for?
I used to play the first Super Mario Bros and Double Dragon with the old Nintendo, they were ace. _________________

Looks quite OK, but I haven't been impressed by those Gameboys and other toys (I've never really tried any of them though!) What are the games for Nintendo DS like then? Little arcade games with silly sound effects and wanky graphics? Or do I still live in the 80's? _________________

This looks a bit like my first electronic game (or whatever they were called!)
Mine wasn't a Russian deluxe version with colours though!
Two ugly-looking moving things on a black & white mini-screen... hours and hours of fun! _________________

They were great though weren't they? I well remember Star Wars and Firefox FX as a kid. God I'm a geek!
The DS is somewhere between the N64 and a Gamecube, though what I've seen so far is all N64 ports with some touchscreen features thrown in.
The Sony PSP on the other hand is a sleek and sexy (well, as sexy as this stuff gets) little widescreen wonder with PS2 or better graphics. It will propbably murder the DS when released over here. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Why do you apologize to Bev?

I'm still not convinced by the DS yet. Does it have backwards compatibility for Gameboy Advance games?
As an aside, I finished Half-Life 2 last night and loved it from start to finish.

It is backwards compatible with GBA, but only in single-player mode.
I am a geek, it must be said, but after a weekends play - it's fucking mega!

I bought a PS2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 4 last weekend. I won't be going out for several months now. Its a magical world where Harry Kewell is nippy and ace and Cisse has two fully working legs. |

I used to have an Atari with Smurf on it, which was nice. Oh, and my mate had a game called Fire Ant, which we, being rather stupid, renamed it Piss Ant.
Can't beat Clayfighter on the old PS One though. I only play Theme Hospital, Lemmings and Scrabble on the PC now. Blimey!!!! |

If you're playing the Master League, there's a guy named Roman who is a must-buy. Zoom in on his face during slow-motion replays. Hilarious!
