what's the best gig you've been to this year?
mine was wilco at manchester academy.
i think i've only been to about 4 this year, so the competition hasn't been very tough, but it was a most excellent concert. |

I've hardly been to any this year. Probably than any in the last 10 or so. Damn I feel old.
So all I can do is say Wilco at Glasto, Love at Glasto, Muse at Glasto.
Kinks

I can't remember who I've been to see this year, I definitely saw The Streets and they were good.
I saw "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" for the first time a couple of weeks ago, its brilliant isn't it. Plus the world looks like a much cooler place in black and white. |

Has to be Jimmy Cliff at The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea. Then again Love were really good too. Bugger then theres PJ Harvey at Glastonbury, and Madonna at Wembley. Oh shit and The Pixies at the forum. Can't decide, can't decide. I can never decide what I want to drink in a pub, let alone gig of the year. Arse. |

= PJ Harvey at Oxegen
= The Strokes at Oxegen
= PJ Harvey in the Olympia
= Gemma Hayes in... a small pub in town
= Republic Of Loose at Oxegen
= Super Furry Animals in the Olympia
and the Ian Brown and Mainline show last week was good, and better than expected (in that I passed up three opportunities to see IB in the past), but mostly for the Stone Roses stuff and the great show by the support act, Mainline |
