This is not the important one but found out this info and filled in where the songs all came from. Pretty impressive and if the Boo Radleys one looks anything like this than I will be in heaven. I want a play list and want to know if the tracks are being re-mastered? No info anywhere, and I’m going crazy but will live.

Oh yeah, here is what the Swervedriver one will look like.

"First comprehensive anthology from one of Creation Records' shining lights. Compiled by the band and featuring rarities and previously unreleased material. This two CD Creation anthology charts the rise of some of Britain's best loved shoegazing rockers, featuring all their most celebrate tracks on one two CD set. The band's entire catalog is unavailable domestically. Castle Music. 2005."

Quote From an Adam interview

"There was a song called 'Just Sometimes' that I wanted to re-name 'Song of Laughter & Forgetting' which has all the instruments and melodies going round in cycles, a song called 'Neon Lights Glow' which is ten minutes long, has a string section on it and is a cross between 'Neon Lights' by Kraftwerk, 'Rumble' by Duane Eddy and 'Signed DC' by Love, and 'Ennio II' which has an Ennio Morricone feel but is really just a strange little instrumental. None of these tracks are available as far as I know, but what do I know?"

"Neon Lights IS the most expensive single recording we did (around £18000 (approx $32000)) - it has an amazing string arrangement (put together by adam & the string quartet), and is around the length of Duress"

Ejector Seat Reservation is one of my all time favourite albums (so good I had to have it on Vinyl and CD!) and "Last Day on Earth" one of my favourite singles.

The Shoegaze thing is a load of tosh but I have noticed that in the U.S particularly the "shoegaze" tag seems to be quite a positive marketing spin for a lot of bands.

Have you seen how much Slowdive's records trade for on ebay?

Ho Hum... Rolling Eyes

I got the Slowdive anthology for Christmas and it's pretty bloody good actually. The Boos get a mention in the sleeve notes (though I suppose nowadays I should say 'booklet') which aligns them with that whole 'scene that celebrates itself' and then promptly issues a disclaimer by saying they came out of Liverpool unlike the rest of the bands.

I don't recall Martin, Sice, Rob or Tim ever wearing a breton shirt.

And for exactly how much can you sell a Slowdive record? I've got the first couple of 12"'s (Slowdive and Morningrise) and was going to use them as frisbees..........

i really liked the first two ep's but never really kept it up.

i did discover at that that if you sat in yr bedroom with funny lights and took acid then simon and garfunkel's 'scarborough fair' sounds exactly like slowdive.
