Has anyone else heard of this band - read a review in Uncut and downloaded 1st ablbum - it's really, REALLY good, I'm off to order their stuff from Amazon now (downloads kill music sales my rear!) but just wondered if anyone else knew about them or owt?

Also (with my decade on the pulse of ten years ago) American Music Club are ace too an all...

i've heard of them, but not heard anything by them yet.

Are they worth checking out then?

they're on tour with bright eyes in march, if you want to catch them live.

I saw Rilo Kiley a couple of years ago playing with The Good Life. I thought they were pretty ace. But then again i like coldplay and i support aston Villa.

Is Uncut as 'grandpa's magazine' as it looks on the cover?

Love & Peace

No uncut is the best music mag by far in my opinion. NME is dreadful, and Q has turned into a kind of monthly NME. MOJO is a kind of "grandpa magazine' i guess, but still worth a look now and again. But Uncut is just a great mag with intelligent features, and a very good reviews section with cd's/dvd's/films/books .etc., plus a free cd every month, which can be a bit hit and miss but still has some good tunes on it.

Uncut is the best mag, but given the competition that doesn't say much...!

Every so often (like, 5 months) they'll do a big Bob Dylan spread (ahem) which keeps saddos like me off the streets.
