I meant to do this last week but obvioulsy didn't.

Ok we have the Cue

Not sure about the White, it doesn't look like Jack.

Then there's Yello,
Ian BROWN
Al GREEN

BLUE

PINK

An obscene number of Mick Hucknalls (simply RED)

Not sure again but is it Pauline BLACK?

Razz

you've got most of them... but not the Blue or Black ball, or the White one, as you say
Smile

(I didn't want to include Blue, as I was trying to keep it as rock & roll as possible... altho I could only come up with Simply Red for Red [obv]) (hmm... or Red Dragon, now I think about it some more... but who'd have got them?!)

Blue is Bluetones.

Love & Peace

P.S. Who says Blue aren't rock n roll?

Bloody hell, I'd forgotten about them!
I've got their first two albums deep in the big cardboard box full of Cd's!, must dust them off.

those two are great... altho maybe more so at the time they came out Rolling Eyes
the next one is patchy but the last one has a few contenders for their best song, so I reckon it was a return to form

What was their third one then? I have 'Science and Nature' which I think is incredible and 'Luxembourg' with is also really good. I don't know anything about the albums they had before that...

Mark Morris has been doing some solo gigs around London under the name Fi-Lo Beddow, but I haven't managed to get to any of them yet. His web site is great, as there's nothing on it except for a picture of a monkey.

Science & Nature was album #3, yeah. I don't think it was a bad album, but certainly not up with their best. I only really like Basement Song, One Speed Gearbox, Keep The Home Fires Burning and Mudslide (even tho the latter does sound a little like an Ocean Colour Scene song Confused )
the instrumental in the middle kinda makes the album disjointed, for me

I love the instrumental! It reminds me of the scene in 'Spaced' where it's used for the soundtrack to a fake gunfight with some muggers. I love the whole album, but if you think the previous ones are even better then I'll definitely be getting them next time I go to the shops. Very Happy

I remember going to see The Bluetones in late October 1995 at The Leadmill.

I'd been at University for one month and had spent 10 hours a day drinking and had hardly eaten for weeks. I managed to see the gig, then promptly collapsed and ended up in hospital from malnutrition.

Oops!

The Bluetones were great for me in 1995. Are You Blue Or Are You Blind was fantastic. But you know, I get bored listening to bands that don't progress, and by the time Keep The Home Fires Lit was released I just couldn't be arsed anymore.

I like the instrumental too (I mean, as far as instrumentals go, it's not bad), but I think it's badly placed on the album. they start the 2nd album with one too, and it's a nice lead up to the first song but it just disrupts the flow on Science & Nature... in my opinion!

Keep The Home Fires Burning is actually a good song, I think, but it probably could have went on the previous album just as easily, as could most of the album it comes from. Luxembourg has a few songs that are guilty of that, too, but there's also some great tracks, and an overall harder sound for them.

p.s. both this and the above post are by me, discoRdance. Soz

oh, and can anyone else get into Hotmail or Yahoo mail right now? I can't Mad
